Lovely house in a beautiful spot very quiet our room was very large and the bathroom fabulous with walk-in shower and extra large bath. My only negatives were the carpet in the room needs a good good clean or replaced as it’s quite stained, the room has quite a musty smell which maybe needs the windows opened and the curtains cleaned as they were a bit mouldy and the bathroom tiles were really stained from the shower which was a shame because it detracts from the beautiful room. Love the fact there was fresh milk for tea nice touch, mini fridge in wardrobe. Breakfast was absolutely delicious every morning (we stayed 3 nights) but the best bit was the hosting the gentleman who booked us in to gave us breakfast on the first morning was amazing so cheerful interested and just an absolute credit to the hotel.

Disappointing evening , service very slow , bread arrived after first course . Main course long wait , only 2 other tables but serving staff no where to be seen . No response from management when concern raised , go there at your peril

Surprise anniversary for my wife. Firstly the staff were fantastic, certainly the best thing about the place. The room was ok and just ok, i wish i could mark it up but it really was just ok,. It didn't feel fresh or smell fresh maybe even a little tired around the edges.|Our room has the shower over the bath with no curtain so the water goes all over the floor. So you end up on your hands and knees moping up shower water after you have showered. My wife showered first and slipped in the bath getting in and really landed with a heavy thud and scream. She was ok but when i got in the shower with caution it certainly was very very slippery, I'm surprised that there was not a rubber mat supplied. The biggest disappointment for us both was the food, there were quite a few courses and nothing really was that great, the worst of all though were the main courses. iI had a lamb dish and no ware on the menu did it say it came topped with anchovies. That absolutely destroyed the dish for me becouse everything on the plate tasted of it. My wife's Pork dish was more Pork fat than pork with i would say 90% fat to Pork slither. We had the cooked breakfast that was nice but not enough there. Although the staff were fantastic i wouldn't rush to return when there are so many good places to eat in Norwich

Had lunch, and whilst not disappointing there are a few places nearby that are better for the same price.
I had quail followed by chicken. Credit to the chef, the quail was the best I’ve ever had, juicy with crispy skin; perfect. Chicken was also good but some of the accompaniments and my partner’s crab bon bon lacked something, maybe seasoning. And there was the strange sauce. Honestly, I couldn’t tell if it was a mistake in the kitchen, rather like salted caramel and gravy mixed. My partner was also confused by this.
Service was friendly, the house wine very good, thumbs up there.
Last point… fix your Bluetooth player! The music was forever cutting in and out! It was definitely an interruption to the meal.

Absolutely wonderful meal. The flavours were purposeful and exciting to eat. There was nothing we didn't find delicious!

Valentine's menu has been absolutely delicious for the second time we've gone!

There is dining and there is fine dining, Brasted's certainly offers fine dining.
The welcome was warm and friendly, the service efficient and the staff were knowledgeable about the food but willing to say that they would ask if they were not sure.
The menu was varied offering 3 or 4 courses which were complimented with entrees, canapés and an amuse bouch.
The wine list was equally fine.
Ashley and his team looked after us fabulously with Freddie keeping an eye on our wine.
Not an everyday experience but thats what makes it special.

We got married here on 28.05.18. Nick and his staff were brilliant from the moment we first contacted them, they made every effort to tailor the wedding just for us. The service is second to none, we both felt in safe hands throughout the day and they really looked after us.

We ordered substantial canapes which were presented exquisitely and in a timely manner. The main course and dessert presentation was perfect and tasted even better.

The venue itself is fantastic, we went for a rustic country theme, however,
I have no doubt that they can adapt to suit whatever type of wedding you want. The garden area allowed for some amazing photos, we got lucky with the weather but to be honest it wouldn't have mattered too much because the inside was equally impressive.

Our guests stayed at the lodge on the night of the wedding and it really was a 5 star experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable and it really topped off an amazing day for us.

There aren't enough superlatives to justify our experience here so I'll just settle for saying it was perfect.

Sadly we’ve had to cancel our wedding booking for next year as my Dad has been diagnosed with cancer and was told he only has a few months. We contacted Brasted’s 2 days after we had found out ourselves, as we wanted to move the wedding closer to home and sooner.

We had already paid a deposit of £1500, but they told us that because it was 11 months until the wedding date, we had to pay an additional £4000 for cancelling. I contacted them to contest the extra payment and have not heard back at all.

I honestly thought Brasted’s would be more compassionate and understanding. My family is going through a horrible time and I wouldn’t wish this upon anyone. Please avoid if you can, all they care about is money.
