The cake was incredible, tasty and beautiful. Jo worked closely with us to make sure we understand the process. She was very kind to create a new flavour of matcha for us which tasted amazing. Jo was also able to accommodate allergies so everything was gluten free, made my coeliac husband super happy 🙂

Joanna is a very talented individual, I enquired for a cake after seeing one of her cake creation featured in VOGUE! Her style is so contemporary and different and I love it! We had the taster parcel sent out and we could not choose they were all so tasty. We ended up going for the Chocolate and Lemon and WOW! All my guests said it was the nicest wedding cake they have ever tasted. I still think about the salted caramel and hazelnuts in the chocolate cake. When I booked the orchid kitchen they were based in Bristol and then made a move to Yorkshire- there were absolutely no problems and everything ran so smoothly so THANK-YOU! Your cakes are fantastic and I hope I can taste them again one day!! X

Wow, where to start. We have recently had the pleasure of having Jo create our cakes for our wedding. From outset I was in love with her work and must admit it was the second thing we booked after venue. I am not sure what I imagined my cakes to look like but I knew Jo would create a master piece.

From initial communication to the final detail of displays it was clear from the very start that Jo takes pride in her work and pours her heart and soul into creating something spectacular for every individual she works with. You have brought not just knowledge and experience of cake making but created something truly magical.

Both cakes and all the macaroons that we had as favours in all their detail were breathtaking and since we initially ordered for a much larger group you should have seen my shock when I stumbled on a plate of crumbs never noticing even when they brought the cake out (luckily the venue kept all three flavours aside for us to have, phew) To say the cakes were a hit at our wedding is an understatement, there was me thinking we will have loads left for later…I don’t think I have ever seen people go crazy over cake as they did at our wedding, it tasted just as phenomenal as it looked!

Couldn’t be happier for picking The Orchid Kitchen and fantastically talented Jo to create us cakes that should only exist in fairy tales.

Choosing the Orchid Kitchen to make your wedding cake will be the best decision you make. I can't recommend Joanna enough. From the amazing cake tasting session, to the incredible artistic design for both the cakes and cookies. Joanna doesn't just make a delicious cake, she creates her own unique work of art. She incorporated the traditional Bulgarian pattern into the design of the cookies (for my husband who is Bulgarian.) I don't know any cake makers who would go into that level of detail. The cake, truffles, cookies, and the lollies we had for favours were the centrepeices of the wedding for sure, which our guests absolutely loved. Professional service, precise detail and incredible taste. The delicious flavours within the cake are something I will never forget. I couldn't just have one peice but went back for another 2 huge portions!! Weddings can be very stressful but the cake was one thing I didn't have to worry about. With Joanna's extensive experience, that's one thing I knew was in safe hands. Joanna traveled from the UK to Italy to make our cake and I couldn't believe how perfect it was, the design, texture, taste everything. I can't thank her enough. I will definitely be coming back to the Orchid Kitchen for other celebration cakes and treats.

Joanna at The Orchid Kitchen has made an amazing Coconut / Raffaello cake for my birthday. I was just blown away with the quality and taste of the cake! It is impossible to describe the sensation in any words. Joanna is an extremely talented lady and she is also very professional. From now on, all the birthday (and not only) cakes, will come from The Orchid Kitchen! Bravo!
