Excellent value for money.
Very efficient staff, polite and friendly especially Indie, Jennel and Christine. Set meal good with enough choice, dainty portions of dessert much appreciated. Coped well with party of 40.
Room was fine and everything worked but the hotel could do with some updating to make it top class.
On the whole very happy with our stay especially for the price.

The hotel is conveniently located in easy reach of transport links but also slightly tucked away so it's nice and peaceful - no traffic noise etc, which is great. Rooms are reasonably spacious and warm, having everything you might need.

The breakfast is a highlight, friendly staff greet you in the morning and there's a wide selection available including the full cooked, toast, fruit and cereal - plenty of choice and all good quality. The staff make a real effort to be welcoming and this is especially the case with breakfast which is provided with great care.

Julie at reception was extremely welcoming. One of the friendliest and most helpful member of staff is have met whilst booking hotels for work. Gave me lots of information in regards to my stay, asked if I wanted to be booked in for evening meal and explained breakfast arrangements. I will definitely come back !

This has got to be one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in. I love the greenery, the building itself, the grounds, the food, the room, the parking… it was all great.
The staff made me feel welcomed and made sure I needed for nothing! I wanted to send a special mention to one of the breakfast staff that was working there at the time, Rudi, if my memory serves me correctly. She always had a smile on her face and almost always went out of her way to make sure I had what I needed.
It was a beautiful stay and one I will definitely repeat!

Complete disappointment. Asked to give a 5 star review as soon as you check in for a free drink in return. Completely outdated rooms and building in general (bedbug found in room so slept in van in the carpark). Damp in dinning room stairs and landing sound as if they will fall apart under you. Damp around window seal/frame, chipped horrible furniture in room as well. Amin (name badge) mohamed a (on till receipt) serving at the bar had attitude even before taking the order. Proceeded to misscharge me when I pointed this out he said its only this by this much. Found it crazy that he was twice confrontational instead of apologetic and willing to refund it. Also slamming glass on the bar and passive aggressively asking if I'm happy now when I insisted it was fixed instead of just taking the extra charge. If this wasn't for work and came out my own pocket would have definitely wanted my money back. Couldn't pay me to stay in there.

The Bankfield hotel is showing really positive signs of improvement. It has for too long being a sleeping giant, thankfully no more. I have memories of the Bankfield Hotel going back well over fifty years, this is the best that it has been for a long time, well done to everyone involved.

The welcome, Julie (?) was excellent, as was the whole stay. The dining room, breakfast, seemed brighter, actually, the whole place had a "spring in its step".

My wife and I are looking forward to our stay there next month.

Lovely welcome from reception, gorgeous room with a view. The bed was exceptionally comfy and the pizza that I ordered on room service, was really tasty and piping hot. I slept very well as there was minimal noise, made most of the bath too. I will definitely be returning.

The rooms are excellent, very clean and the beds are really comfy. The staff I spoke to were very friendly, chatty and happy to help, local amenities are only a short drive away. Overall lovely hotel. Peter on the front desk was excellent even giving tips on money off your next stay by scanning a QR code
