Ordered from the mein menu, amazing service, bar staff were just fabulous. Food came out in fast time. Ordered the katsu for starter's and steak for the main, tasted sublime, just enough seasoning and portion size. Like how the owners have elevated it to a gastro pub with great food, service and atmosphere

Family Sunday roast, there is a choice of 2 or 3 courses, all of the food was lovely, the staff were excellent and friendly. The restaurant is clean and stylish, a very nice dining experience. Dogs are allowed🐾

Probably the best Sunday lunch we’ve had in a while! We hadn’t booked and stopped by on the off chance as the pub’s had some great reviews. The pub was really busy and the owner Sian sorted out a table for us after a short wait. The atmosphere was great as was the food and service. We will definitely be back soon!

Absolutely superb Sunday lunch. Not a 'pile it high' place, the nicest restaurant that I have found in the East Midlands. Delicate starter, nicely cooked lamb for the main and very subtle cheesecake to finish. Excellent.

Our new favourite go to - such a beautiful pub/restaurant and always has a warm welcoming atmosphere. The food and service is always amazing. Every meal we've had has been fantastic and we go regularly for a cosy drink with our puppy. Really recommend!

We went for a meal. 1st atmosphere is good. We were shown to the table and given menus. The menus. Very limited menu a pie a steak fish and veggie. So we ordered starters. I had the katsu chicken it was very bland, and there was no seasoning. To the mains, I ordered fish and chips. Don't order it. It was the smallest bit of fish tail I've ever seen, and there charging £18 there were 13 chips and no peas the others on the table had pies which they said was really nice but could do with some vegetables. Very small portions for a pub in the middle of nowhere we spent £186 for four people and only 2 starters and 3 desserts. This place could be amazing. They need to remember they are not in the city.

I visited the Bull’s Head in Belper for a Sunday lunch with family. I opted for The Derbyshire Beef on the menu. The service was really quick and efficient. The food was delicious. I’m quite fussy when it comes to how my beef is cooked, I had this slightly over cooked. It was perfectly tender. I had no complaints whatsoever. The place was busy, but not too crowded. The staff were welcoming and always on hand if anything was required. We did book a table, and this is probably something that is required for a Sunday visit. There was a lovely lit fireplace in the waiting/reception area. All in all, highly recommended and I would visit again.

WOW! From the moment that we stepped in, we were greeted by warm and friendly staff, a roaring wood burning stove, and treated to what can only be described as an exceptional dining experience.

The decoration has been tastefully designed combining the pub’s traditional charm dating back to the 1800’s and modern contemporary feel.

The menu is a true highlight, featuring an array of carefully crafted dishes that showcase the best of locally sourced seasonal ingredients.

The ambiance adds another layer to the experience—whether you're seated in the intimate dining room, or the bar and snug for those of us with dogs 🐾, the setting is relaxed and inviting. With its perfect blend of excellent food, attentive service, charming atmosphere, and live music, The Bulls Head is undoubtedly a standout in Belper. Whether it's a casual lunch or a celebratory dinner, this is a place that never disappoints. Highly recommended!
