A very basic hotel. Rooms look cute from the outside but inside are pretty basic.
For the price the room had everything you need with a kettle, ok bed and a small basic bathroom.
The staff were not friendly and obviously more interested in the bar and it’s clients than the accommodation customers.
Location wise don’t expect to be able to walk into town unless you’re an experienced hill walker. We walked back from dinner and it’s a seriously steep 30 min walk.

Main area of pub was lovely, staff were great an food was really good. Outbuildings and little courtyard looked amazing. I was in room 8 which was clean but very disappointing. Bed and furniture seriously need replacing. There is no mirror in the bedroom so made it difficult when trying to dry your hair. Masking tape was holding the bathroom door together! If the room was done up this place could be amazing.

The pub was recommended to us and we had a nice warm welcome. The staff were very friendly and Archie was very helpful. The fish and chips were excellent. We shall return soon

Fabulous little pub with lovely rooms . We were made most welcome on checking in on Friday 20th Dec. Even the locals made a fuss of our dog Toby. The food is lovely and very reasonably priced.|The new owner has had the pub 18 months and has turned it around from the many issues it had before. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be going back.

Our large family went for a meal here and the staff were so accomodating and lovely. 10/10 service and great food. This pub has the local charm without feeling unwelcome as someone visiting. Would come again if we were staying in the area longer!

I travel around alot for work and stay in various hotels, this has to be one of the best I've stayed in and I had a perfect night's sleep. The self contained room was super clean and cosy. Every member of staff was lovely and the breakfast was great too.

Bedroom was clean but basic, bathroom needed mold removing and matted hair removed from bath plug hole.We BBreserved table for 7.00pm had good main course but when tried to order sweet at 800pm told Kitchen closed at 800pm(Saturday night?). Breakfast ok but rushed.Sorry but will not stay here again.
