Avril and John were wonderful hosts! We had a lovely stay: the double room was huge and very clean. Breakfast was lovely and parking was right outside the door. We were the only guests so had the bathroom to ourselves too. Would highly recommend if looking for somewhere to stay near cannock chase.

We arrived with wet boots after walking from Stafford. The welcome was practical, cheerful and warm including, of course, a cup of tea.||There is no evening meal and the kitchen of the nearest pub is currently closed. Yet John gave us a lift to Ye Olde Windmill, which served beer, soup and Barnsley chop. Very nice place. Having had the lift, it was easy enough to walk back.||Breakfast was simple - boiled egg, ham and cheese etc. This is not for those who want a full English, but more than enough to set you on your day.||Avril produced very nice packed lunches that were very good value.||One downside for some would be the shared bathroom downstairs. This was clean, there were plenty of towels, and everything worked. No problem for us as there was one other guest.||All in all a good overnight stop on our pilgrimage to Lichfield.

Really superb beds, ever so comfy! Rooms are spotlessly clean. The reception you receive is very warm and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was very good and ready at the requested time, and they helped to organise a taxi for us. Looking through the guest book, lots of people return to Tuktawa regularly!

Can't believe last review!! The guest must have gotten mixed up with another B&B. I have stayed - many times and found it to be extremely clean and spacious. The breakfast was of a very high standard (not a fried breakfast) but ample choice given in advance and at a time of your choosing rather than being told. Many people rely on theses forums and although I feel sad that someone would deliberately lie to be spiteful trying to damage a reputation, if that person chooses not to stay then good..it leaves room for guests who want somewhere to stay overnight that is clean and comfortable in a beautiful village setting. A few times to my knowledge (and dismay) this B&B has been fully booked.

I stay here on a very regular basis. The rooms are very clean and warm and always find John and Avril very friendly and accommodating. The price is excellent and amenities are very clean too! I have been using this guest house for over two years now and don’t even think of using anywhere else. A deserved five stars!

Absolutely wonderfully kept bed and breakfast. Brilliant hosts that make you feel comfortable as soon as you meet them. Absolutely super clean house. We could not get a taxi to collect our car, John kindly drove us back to collect our car. Wonderful people. Definitely stay again. Six stars for us. Bob and Bonnie.

Avril and John make you feel at home immediately. They are very helpful and kind. The B&B is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance from Ring Castle, an impressive neolithic hill fort. It's also an ideal basecamp for walks in Cannock Chase, area of outstanding beauty.
