Well we came to check in around 4pm on Valentines Day and there was no staff about, Had to use the Ring Doorbell to get the keys.
First up, The room, The bed was semi comfy, Mattress was very soft but wouldn't call it comfy though.
The TV was alright, Slow but was able to get Netflix on it. The shower was warm which was nice and that is basically all there is.

Breakfast... Very limited, Although the milk was sour which meant we didn't eat the cereal and ended up having toast.

Don't think I would come back unfortunately

For the price this place is ok. Thin walls, good location for the airport but not if you want to be in the main drag of Belfast. No eating in rooms is a silly rule.

ยฃ125. Needed a room near the Ulster Hospital, due to a relatives health emergency.
Good off street parking, house is set well back from ghe street, and traffic nouse.
Room (no 3) was very good. Clean and comfortable. Bathroom spotless, great high pressure shower too.
Poor reception on the TV, skipping and picture breaking down.
Don't think any staff or manager is present overnight, next door room guests arrived back about 1am, crashed around in the room for ten minutes laughing and talking loudly.
Then went outside to smoke, and continued making noise until 2am.
Back to their room, chatting loudly and sounded like they were falling against the walls until 2.30am, then back outside for a repeat performance...
Coming up to 3am now, they might be settling down now. I hope ....

Place was clean and the continental breakfast was good.
Just didnโ€™t feel like a bed-and-breakfast, the pillows were amazingly thin, no plugs Near the beds ( extension cord) no water available for purchase or otherwise for those going directly from airport. Never met the owners/workers.
This place Felt more like an air bnb not the bed and breakfast places we are used to. All other Bnbs weโ€™ve been to in Ireland have had just little extras and weโ€™re always there to greet you or at least check you out.
Nice place just different than weโ€™ve come to expect.

Aahfield Bed & Breakfast is ok to stay in.
But it depends on whether the necessary information gets taken into account and looked at.

The property I would rate is average at best, but I feel it's maintaining could be updated. Basing this on the room I stayed in.

The owner will send the necessary information on the day of the arrival.

Ashfield entrance is clearly shown when driving, and the best way to find this is it being situated with a bus stop right outside the property. The entrance does display the name.

The property has reasonable parking that is tarmacked. So this you could say is nice to not have uneven surfaces.

When we arrived, we had technical difficulties opening the booking app to get the password. The "ring" doorbell must've notified the owner or our arrival, but the worker that was there was happy to help.

But this is where things get confusing. You would think lower numbers are in order before going upstairs. But it starts off with the highest numbers on the ground floor.

This is continental breakfast. With reasonable items out to help yourself with.
The property has terms of their own, which is more of a general reminder that there are other guests staying here and having respect, which I deeply appreciate.

The room on first arrival looked nice and welcoming. Cold water is drinkable from taps.

But during the night. The pillows are rather thin, wouldn't even call it a pillow despite having two (2). I'm not sure whether other guests have a preference on the thickness of a pillow but wasn't a problem. What was, is one of the windows has lost its seel which has a draft. Which doesn't help older folks at age when cold drafts come in. Not to mention, a neighbour within a 100-yard radius has a dog left out. Barking till least 2300 hours (11pm) on Thursday night. It was not the owners fault but might have dampened the noise if the window seal was improved.

Mention about being conservative aspect, feel the need to point out plug for sink was missing. No where, but the radiator under the window is the only place to hang damp towels.

The bathroom has somewhat of damp smell, which lingers. The tissue roll holder is positioned in a rather awkward position that would involve twisting the body.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and once again couldn't fault it, easy check in, rooms lovely and breakfast great, had a heater in room to turn off and on as I pleased. Will definitely be back in the future..perfect spot in Belfast, and the staff very friendly when they are there
