My cousin recommended Silk Studio so I thought I would give it a try. I had a Hollywood wax with Tonicha and she was amazing! She made me feel super comfortable and talked me through everything, she was very clear and got rid of my nerves. She is really professional and very thorough. I travelled all the way from Walsall for the first time to her (I never travel far) and I know it won’t be the last time!

Just coming from my wax appointment there and I’m so upset and almost in tears writing this:((. I texted on instagram thinking I was still going to be on my period on the day of my appointment and she replied in the morning saying it’s fine and thanked me for letting her know. When I arrived at the location I was 40 minutes early so I texted to let her know, and stated that the address had no house number (she didn’t reply).

At 14:27 a lady came out her window asking if I’m here for a wax I said yes and she showed me exactly where it was. Me thinking it was the wax lady herself I went and rang the doorbell which wasn’t working so I waited a bit and I touched the door which to my surprise was opened, I then thought she was just waiting for me.

As soon as I entered the actual wax lady came out and said:
Her: why did you just come in? (As rude as you can imagine)
Me: explaining the situation
Her: who are you?
Her: you can’t just come in like that
Her: I don’t respond on instagram (after she replied to me earlier today at 9:28am) when there’s no indication on her website or instagram bio that DMs aren’t monitored.

She then proceeds to tell me I should’ve texted the number when “the number” there was no number on her website and the reminder message I got was directly from acuity with no number. After that she told me to take off my shoes and we proceeded to the appointment.

She apologised claiming I’ve scared her, but it of course wasn’t my intention. I believe no matter how you must’ve been startled this is no way to speak to anyone especially when you know you’re expecting a client, I’m a human with feelings and customer service appart you just don’t treat people this way. that first ever interaction ruined the whole thing for me as getting a wax is such an intimate experience. The interaction genuinely hurt my feelings and ruined my day. I’ve travelled 1h30 minutes to get there just for that? It’s safe to say I will not be returning.

I visit Silk Studio for regular treatments and always had amazing service and accommodates perfectly to individual needs . Will be starting new treatments with her and safe to say not worried as I know I’m in good hands. Definitely recommend

Decided to try hot wax for my underarm wax at this waxing studio, and it was a game changer!
