We had a lovely stay at Helen’s guest house this weekend. Helen was really accommodating, helpful and kind. ||There is parking out the front which a real bonus. The room was spotlessly clean and well designed. |There was ample tea and coffee, comfortable bed, and considered details such as a local directory & menus jn the draws, shoe polish and sewing emergency kit! |It was clear that the guests experiences were really thought about. It’s just a lovely cosy b&b. ||My only suggestions, it wasn’t really clear when booking online if there is breakfast or not included ( or how to book it as extra) we didn’t know breakfast was offered until the second morning. Again, it looked lovely! So maybe just a little sign in the room & on the booking sites to say how to request breakfast would be helpful? ||Also the bathrooms are a little small, but it can’t be helped and they were clean and well appointed with toiletries. ||Overall, we found it a perfect place to stay for a few nights if visiting Solihull, Birmingham, NEC or airport, with a wonderful accommodating host and a really lovely cosy and genuine feel! ||Thanks Helen, we look forward to returning!

Basic room, window seal broken experienced a whistling noise as well as a draft, shower was mouldy and can hear other guests in their rooms. Comfortable bed, tea, coffee, biscuits, hairdryer. Good location for the party we were attending, host very friendly was there to greet us and show us to our room. Lovely view of gardens and magnolia trees in flower.

I stayed at Leaded Light Guest House on Match 5th 2025, travelling up from London. Helen was accommodating of me as a late arrival. Her sons were welcoming. The room was clean, tidy, and my stay was quiet. I recommend Highly.

Helen is a wonderful host and the rooms always clean and warm. I've stayed there twice in 2 months and she made me feel welcome on both occasions. Looking forward to going back again in the near and distant future ! X

There were three adults stayed here for the Crufts weekend. It was only a 10 minute drive and had parking on the driveway at the front of the property. It’s was nice and quiet and had great comfy clean rooms. Breakfast was lovely with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Food was lovely and set us up for the day. The owner is lovely a very friendly and genuine lady. Would definitely stay again - thank you 😊

I decided to book for 1 night to save the extra stress of driving down the M6 next morning to a 10am appointment at the nearby Solihull Hospital. It was a very windy and rainy day when we arrived and were very warmly welcomed by Helen the B n B owner. We were then shown to our requested twin bed room over looking the front of the house n small private car park. The room was fairly large n had a large bay window which made the room nice n bright. The ensuite bathroom was quite small but compact with a nice shower a d had extra little touches such as sachets of shampoo n shower gel and 2 new white face flannels. Everything was spotlessly clean. There was also a kettle n tea n coffee making facilities and a lovely selection of biscuits. The 32ìn freeview tv was perfect. A hairdryer was also present as was a small fridge. Two mins up the road there was a row of local shops which included a fish n chip shop, chinese and Indian restaurants with takeaway. Wine bar. Lovely bakery and a decent size Spar store and a nice takeaway sandwich shop where you could sit n have a coffee and a few other shops, so very handy. We bought fish n chips n Helen had set up a table in the dining room for us with salt n pepper n vinegar with the sauces to hand. We both had a good nights sleep and enjoyed our freshly made to order English breakfast with tea and toast.The breakfast menu also included all types of eggs also cooked to order. There was also a variety of cereals n jams available. Helen cannot do enough to make you feel welcome and is a lovely, friendly welcoming host. We had a most enjoyable stay and would def stay there again if in that area.

I'm really surprised to see LL not getting a higher rating.||It is a trad B&B, in that it offers simple overnight accomodation at a competitive price.||Booking near my time of travel it cost less than a Prem Inn or Travail Lodge.||Location is excellent for NEC visits.||The rooms are very clean, have password protected WiFi. Some nice touches include, tea, coffee and a couple of choccy biscuits as well as soap and shampoo in the shower room. ||Optional cooked breakfast was made while I waited, and tasty.||The owner was friendly and did not mind making breakfast a little earlier than usual.
