It’s good location, but a lot of extras to be added on. We booked and paid extra for the dog and car parking. ||Upon checking in we didn’t get any options of upgrading or paying for breakfast. We had booked a cosy room and it’s small also we were out the back so attempting to sleep was hard due to the nose of the generators I suppose and yes the windows were shut. We did tell them in checkout this morning but oh ok was the response. ||I used to use the hotel a lot for personal and business and stopped

Stayed for one night. The reception staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and clean. What lets this hotel down is the health club. The changing rooms poolside and steam room are all very very grotty. Old and dirty. We would not stay again because if this which is as shame as the rest of the hotel and staff are lovely.

Warm welcome from Kadrija and another lady on reception, they were informative and made me feel at ease. Flapjack was delicious. I was there on business the following day. The room was cosy and comfy. Lovely overlapping curtains made it very dark at night. I personally liked the sound of units outside it was like white noise. Great night sleep. Next I would like to use room service for dinner and breakfast, looked very tasty. Leisure centre was very pleasant. No dressing gowns so be prepared with clothes to get to and from room. But the amenities were great, hot tub, steam room and sauna. And pool was fab. Used the luggage storage the next day, felt safe and secure. Very very happy.

Having stayed at other Voco hotels I was looking forward to a Sunday afternoon in a lovely room with a glass of wine, reading the Sunday papers, but this didn't live up to my expectations.

Solihull is a good area, but as we turned into the scruffy hotel carpark I was disappointed. Our room wasn't ready, but Lucy on reception kept us entertained.

The room was a Platinum upgrade but I found it badly laid out with minimal furniture and storage space. We had to move the tea/coffee items and hairdryer to create some shelf space, but there was plenty of room for a chest of drawers. There was only one easy chair and the table was about the size of a car steering wheel. Again, plenty of room for another table and chair. However, all the fittings were good quality.

The bathroom also had quality fittings, but the fixed glass panel made it very difficult to run a bath. Once lying in the bath I had to stand up to reach the soap dispensers.

The restaurant was excellent. Wonderful onion soup, good food and an equally good breakfast. Every member of staff was friendly and professional throughout the hotel.

I'm sorry to have moaned so much, but I hope my criticism is seen as constructive.

Enjoyed a lovely day at the leisure centre. Swim, jacuzzi and sauna, followed by a VERY generous afternoon tea!!

Lovely warm water in the pool. My only gripe, hence 4 stars was the blown windows restricting the lovely garden view. Bifold doors would be a great addition for the summer with an out door BBQ 😊

The staff in the leisure centre and the restaurant were fabulous THANK YOU👌 definitely ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We will be back 🥰😘

I checked into this hotel at 3 AM, and the staff were exceptionally accommodating. They even provided an additional bed in the room, allowing my daughters and me to relax together comfortably. Although there was a minor issue, the hotel management promptly acknowledged it and took immediate steps to resolve it. Overall, I had an excellent experience and would rate this hotel 10/10.

My second visit at this hotel and I really like it. There's a nice bar area, the leisure facilities are good and the rooms are pleasant. I only ate breakfast her no other meals, but that was excellent - plenty of choice and all very tasty! The staff are all really friendly from reception to bar to housekeeping. Only two things stop this from being a 5-star rating....... One - the pillows were a bit weird and I found it difficult to get a combination that suited me, meaning I didn't sleep all that well. Two - the receptionist at check-out asked me to rate my stay out of 10. I don't want to do that TBH, it feels unnecessary and a bit cheap.|Otherwise all good.

Recently visited the Vocco St John’s hotel for a birthday weekend. On arrival the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. The girl on the desk Kadryie said that they had upgraded our room for my birthday and she also gave us free parking for the two nights She even gave us a little cake each courtesy of the hotel!|Our room was large with a super king bed and the bathroom looked newly renovated with a large walk in shower, vanity unit and toilet and had toiletries to use. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet.|We had breakfast which was excellent and self service. Staff brought tea or coffee and were quick to clear the tables of dirty crockery. Everyone in the whole hotel had a smile and were really helpful.|We used the leisure facilities which were nice with sauna, steam room pool and jacuzzi. The pool could probably do with a deep clean but it was fine. |The hotel is really well placed for the town with a great shopping centre and plenty of pubs and restaurants. It only took us about 5 minutes to walk there so we didn’t need to use the car but it was far enough away to avoid traffic noise. |Great hotel for mini break!
