I’ve been Staying at this guest has for many years, it has always been a very fair priced and clean place.

I have recently stay there and was pleasantly surprised when I found that the entire place has had a full refurbishment. The communal areas have all been updated and the rooms are now presented to a very top standard, the service has always been great and now the whole place has been facelifted and it’s become even more of a pleasant experience.

I will continue using this place for many years to come, keep up the good work guys

My daughter has been staying here for 8months on and off.Her door is kicked off on a regular basis ..all her valuables taken .whole guest house smells of weed .cctv cameras don’t work.. .manager can barely speak or understand English .window smashed in my daughters tiny box room .no heating . Bathroom needs cleaning ...all the residents apart from the one family downstairs (refugees put there by the council)are there straight from prison .mostly single males ...If you do stay here make sure you wear bullet proof vest ...and sleep with one eye open .good luck as you will need it .photo of my girl taken 1week ago ...need I say anymore .this is what happens to you if you don’t play ball at elston ...

The 'guest house' car park is at the back with room for 1 car amongst the rubbish.As we got out of the car all we could hear was children yelling and screaming from a back room. we walked to the front of the property and visible through the nets was a mattress against the window, inside part of the lobby was sectioned off with a shower curtain. The was people everywhere but noone either spoke english or seemed inclined to help us. i rang the bells, and banged on the door labelled admin and no answer. i tried several times to get someone to answer the phone that could clearly be heard ringing behind the door but no answer. Eventually after 15 minutes of trying to get someone to help us a man said he was a guest there and could he help us. we said we were supposed to be in a room, he went to an old battered chair and looked under the cushion and said he hasnt left a key so ill try to ring him. He rang someone and said to us that booking.com should have notified us that the booking was cancelled, the owner refused to speak to me on the phone at all. All the time we were there there was numerous people coming in with food shopping bags, children sat around playing on tablets like they were at home. both my friends got flea bites on them from standing in the lobby, the decor was poor and the whole property badly maintained. thankfully the booking had been cancelled as i would have slept in the car and felt safer, dont know who is writing these rave reviews but a serious complaint has been made to booking.com who i booked with and i have reccomended they remove this hostel from their listing as a guest house it most certainly isnt. cant comment on the bedrooms as thankfully we didnt get to see them but judging from all the people in the place it was seriously overcrowded. Please, do not book this place, its dirt cheap but you dont even get what you pay for! not a bnb, wouldnt even call it a backpackers hostel, its worse

Stayed 2 night in this B&B. Very clean and spacious and recently refurbished to a high standard. Staff were extremely helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was really nice. I will be visiting again on my next trip to Birmingham and would definitely recommend this place if your planning on going to Birmingham!

Me n my husband went to this place overnight it was disgusting they charge you full price should only pay £20 for room that’s all they deserve. Beds were broken Dirty bedsheets Hoover wasn’t done. You can smell fags in the room the appearance of room disgusting. It’s very good location they could do a lot better. Pls pls improve and clean up !!!!!

Me and my girlfriend visited here for 6 days. We both liked it, Room was very quiet despite roadworks and street performers outside. Bham moor str. New str. and close to Tesco easy .|The free fast Wifi, parking and break fast helped us to save more monye.| I enjoyed my stay at and would recommend based on its location only 10min to the city center and very friendly staff.|

Booked two rooms, 1 through booking.com and then phoned to ask for another, all fine until the night before when they phoned to cancel, he got very aggressive on the phone, and called me a liar, wish I had read the reviews before booking. Completely ruined my fathers 68th birthday, and very argumentative. Nowhere is now free within my price range and even if I paid more everywhere is booked up. Feel completely let down and now have to explain to my children they cannot go. My advice Do Not Book.

No reception, have to ring door bell which no one answers for ages, dirty bed linen so had to ask for freshly washed sheets. In fact the whole place could do with a good cleaning down. Would never stay here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone
