Great family run hotel. The owners and staff are really friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is amazing! The hotel is within walking distance of the city centre so we didn't need to use our car during the whole visit.

Nice large rooms, comfy bed, big bathroom and powerful shower. We had breakfast which was good. Parking was a little tight but it was fine. Easy to get into town and right next to the train station. Very nice weekend.||Rooms were well presented and plenty of tea and coffee provided. They also left us a Yorkie bar which was a good touch

Great stay, very clean & the room was bigger than we thought! Very lovely little B&B. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
seriously nothing negative to say, itβs close to the train station, lots of shops/ pubs and a cinema close by - itβs about a 15-20 minute walk to the city center.
you can opt for breakfast if you like for an additional fee.
definitely recommend this place if you donβt mind walking a bit.

Having seen the silly prices Hotels in the area were charging and then adding on breakfasts and daily parking it was a relief to find this Gem of a B&B which offered all inclusive prices much less than any hotel. Run by a lovely Chinese couple this accommodation offered easy access, lovely breakfast food and clean well maintained rooms. The accommodation is just a short walk into the City so a great location as well. Highly recommend this place and when we return it will be the first place we call.

We were very impressed with our stay at The Apple House. The location is good with free parking at rear and a short walk from the railway station.|On checking-in we had to order breakfast for the next day which seemed a bit strange but worked out well as my partner can only eat sour dough bread which is not on the menu but hearing this the nice lady owner went out to a shop and bought some especially - how amazing is that?!|The room was very clean, spacious with lots of storage with a large bath with shower. Lots to choose from at breakfast. The owners are very friendly and if we visit York again this will be our first choice.

Highly recommend The Apple House. There are so many thoughtful extras. The room (we stayed in the Empire room number 2) has a good quality stocked tea tray, convenient plug sockets, mirrors, and an additional heater if you need. You are made so welcome on arrival, and the breakfast is excellent, the best quality fruit bowl and thick yoghurt that so many other places don't offer. Will look forward to many future stays here.

We decided to have a day in York as a birthday treat and wanted to stay overnight so we could take our time.|| The Apple House offers parking and had some decent reviews, so we chose to stay there - this was a good decision! Booking direct with the Apple House gave the best price and was simple via their website.|| We arrived a little early, but no problem as we could book in and drop off our luggage. Parking was easy and plenty of room was available. We had a warm welcome and were shown our room - the Superior King Size bed room. The room was really clean and looked beautifully prepared. Being a freezing day it was wonderful to walk into warm and fresh room.|| The bathroom is large, in good condition and was clean and fresh. The room has a toilet, good sized bath/shower with shampoo, shower cap and body-wash supplied (nice). The bath mat (clean and fresh) was ready in the bathroom, (which is a big plus IMHO), with decent bath/hand towels. (Entry into the bathroom is via a single small step, something to be aware of).|| The main room is nicely decorated, with reasonable cupboards/wardrobe space - great - and is reasonably lit. There was a good number of sockets - which is a must now - and a small fridge. Tea/coffee making is available, along with water and a few snacks (thanks!).| The bed is larger than double, but maybe a little smaller than a standard king size - that being said, it was comfortable and spacious enough for us. The mattress was slightly soft for me, but perfect for my wife - again no issue and very comfortable. Two sets of nice pillows were suppled and the duvet was comfortable and very warm.|| The room was quiet, and we slept well. Great!|| Breakfast, (pre-booked time and type, on checking in), was really nice - plenty of choice, freshly prepared and tasty. Decaff tea was available, as was lactose-free milk, (we had asked on check in), and veggie options. Service was friendly, fast and we were allowed to take our time eating/relaxing before we returned.|| So, would we recommend the Apple House? | Of course! ||Will we revisit? | Again, that's a given.

Sorry for the late review.||We had a lovely time at the Apple House.||The room was clean and spacious, including a large en-suite bathroom.||We travelled in by train and our welcome email included good advice including a shortcut to the guest house from the station.||Breakfast was delicious, I fellt I should try both the veggie and the meat full English breakfast. Both were very nice and in a nice front dining room where you can watch York life go by.||When we checked out I said we had a good few hours to kill before our train back. We was invited to store our bags there so that was very nice.||We got everywhere by foot as the guesthouse is conveniently located. If your not too good on your feet there is also a bus that stops outside (though we never tried it).||I would definately like to stay again and thankyou for a lovely time.||P.s. one last thing to say is the welcome sweet and bottled water is a lovely touch and really helps you to relax in the room from the start.||Thanks again Richard & Jenny.
