My wife and myself had a good time in York over the Easter period. The room clean and comfy in a very good location.
The only thing we found was that the breakfast was cold on the Sunday and Monday and Tuesday breakfast was warm.
I had paid for this for the three days and expected the breakfast to be hot. My wife and I would stay here again but not order the breakfast. Hope premier inn York sort this out.

This is one of the older Premier Inns. The accommodation is in several different buildings so I can only comment on the Norman block, which is clean but pretty dated. ||My room was really dark - just a small window in the eaves, and the lights in the room weren’t great - one kept flickering then went out.||Both the WiFi and the 4g/5g signal were dire, and not all the freeview channels worked on the TV. The air conditioning was okay- it mostly worked. ||The shower worked well but again was old- the shower gel holder was rusted. There was, at times, a smell at the toilet. ||On the plus side, there’s always plenty of room and the bed is always comfortable. Plenty of sockets although no USB sockets, so definitely bring a plug. It was also very quiet. ||I, and several other people tried to gain access through the front of the hotel on first arrival, but the reception is at the rear and you either need to use your keycard or wait to be buzzed in, which didn’t seem to happen much- if Premier Inn stated this in the website it would save people a walk. ||The hotel is literally 2 minutes walk from the train station. But, I wouldn’t stay here again. I’d pay a little more and book the new Premier Inn which is about 20 seconds walk up the street.

We have just returned from a lovely stay in the Minster building at the rear of the hotel (to be recommended if you like a quiet spot). It’s a short jaunt into the city and there’s a handy Wetherspoons over the road. When we dropped off our luggage in the morning we discovered there had been a mix up in the type of room we wanted. Although the hotel was busy, Beth in Reception worked her magic and sorted things swiftly and efficiently (thank you, Beth). Not only that, when we let ourselves into our room later on in the afternoon, we were greeted with a lovely card from Beth apologising for the confusion, and some sweet treats. Beth and all the staff we met were lovely, and our room was really good. Five star service at a bargain price - will definitely return!

We've stayed at Premier Inn York Blossom Street many times over the years and have always enjoyed our visits. However, on this occasion, our room (room 2007 if i remeber correctly) was not up to the usual standard. It was in need of an uplift and a deep clean, and it's clear that a revamp is overdue. Unfortunately, no other rooms were available, which was disappointing.

That being said, the reception staff handled the situation perfectly and were very professional and accommodating, which we really appreciated. While this experience wasn’t quite what we hoped for, it hasn’t dampened our love for York, and we would still consider staying here again if improvements are made.

Fantastic location, big rooms, friendly competent staff. A lovely touch to leave the kids an Easter egg each too. One of the best premier inns we've stayed in. Although the dearest by far too...

The location of the hotel, Blossom Street North, York, was brilliant. A five minute walk away from the station. The staff were all friendly but the service was poor. |The USB charger next to one of the twin beds was faulty. I reported this on two separate occasions. If they couldn't do anything about it, I would have appreciated being told that. ||We were staying four nights and on the 2nd morning, before 12.00, we asked for the room to be cleaned. When we got back late in the evening, the only thing that had been done was the towels were changed but even then, only one hand towel had been left, and not two. One of the beds had the quilt straightened but the bed not made or changed. The other left with nothing being done to it at all. The bathroom had not been cleaned as there was a stain where the cup had been set down still on the sink.|The room was very warm and we couldn't get the temperature turned down enough to sleep comfortably .||Not major issues but enough to mar the previous high opinion of Premier Inns.

Dirty room and poor kitchen hygiene. Found hair from previous guest on towels and human hair inside morning hair mushrooms.

Good: convenient location cheap price off season room. Comfort firm bed.

Poor service, one of the receptionist lady were nice but the one met in the afternoon are not very keen to help me for general queries.

I'm sketching from premier inn 🙁

Great service from start to finish! Helpful staff, with great knowledge and recommendations for our visit to York. Ideally located, walking distance to the train station, city centre and ideal for all major bus routes in the city. Rooms were clean and well maintained.
