So, the sheets, pillows and towels were all clean.|The room was very tired and needs a real spruce up.|There were old paper tissues under the bed.|The bathroom was the issue. No lion the toilet, the plug in the sink didn't rise so water didn't drain properly and there was no hot water for a shower. The shower was a hose and shower head, with nowhere to hang/hold it. |Wouldn't stay again and wldnt recommend.

This hotel describes itself as, “Our hotel offers six stylish bedrooms – each individually designed. Deluxe and luxury features around the hotel include king sized beds, flat screen TVs, music players and roll top / jacuzzi baths.” It’s rare I write a negative review as I hate to be mean to people trying their best, but I can’t not warn others what to expect. My husband booked the hotel, taken in by the name and description without checking the reviews. He’d have realised, had he done so, that this hotel was not going to provide as promised. It’s very nicely located in a fine town and the building was clearly once grand with a lovely history. It was clean. I didn’t see any staff, but Mark said the chap who gave him his keys was pleasant and helpful. Thereafter, you’re left with a relic of what could be a fine hotel, but is not even shabby chic - just worn and tired shabby cheap. The shower was luke warm. I couldn’t get the tv to work properly. We couldn’t find the parking entrance. I’ve no idea if breakfast was provided and no one mentioned it and all was dead when we came downstairs. It’s not a proper hotel at all; rather a building with rooms you can sleep in. The furniture was cheap and worn and it was not stylish and never would have been even if new. I know we all have different tastes, but this was not boutique unique or even quirky. It was just the opposite. We only paid £90 and for one night passing through, it did its job. I wouldn’t have given any review as I slept ok and, as I say the bedding was clean etc, however, when I read how they describe themselves, that’s when I decided to review. Just be honest. Say it’s a basic, good clean place to lay your head and price it accordingly. Don’t sell your rooms on fibs by bigging up something that doesn’t exist. You’re asking for a negative response I’m afraid. Sorry to be tough, but I could never recommend this “hotel” as it is. It’s got potential to be lovely if freshly decorated with new furnishings, but until then I’d steer clear.

Absolutely hideous. Cleanliness level at an all time low. I have never seen a hotel this dirty before. For £90 a night I don’t expect it to be amazing but I do expect to sleep on clean sheets with a working bathroom… neither of which I received. Not to mention the level of dust coated on things is such a fire hazard. This has definitely taught me to read the reviews next time before I book somewhere! If you’re thinking of booking DO NOT! unless you want to catch something!

The shower was only lukewarm, and when I raised the issue, the staff responded with irritation and defensiveness. Additionally, the photos on the app are misleading and don’t accurately reflect the actual rooms, which were quite ordinary with basic furnishings.

Unfortunately the overall quality did not match the website pictures in any way. Rooms need a good clean and dust. It may have been a boutique hotel at one point but definitely not now. Decor is touched up in places badly with wrong colours, filled in holes badly and generally not like advertised. First impressions walking up to the hotel weren't good. Generally untidy and definitely not looking like advertised. No breakfast. Wine bar downstairs in a nightclub so don't be under the impression it's a classy residents bar. For ÂŁ110 a night it's far from worth it. Luckily there's a Wetherspoons opposite for a breakfast. Definitely not the four star it's advertised as

This may have been the place to stay back in the day and when the photos were taken but this is tired and dated guest house.||The room was big but furnishing were old and grubby in places. The room was hot, too hot even for me. The room was on the front of the building and this meant a fair bit of road noise even on a week night. ||I would not stay here again.

Boutique 25 is located centrally but doesn't match their website/brochure images. They must have been taken a very long time ago. The room carpet was clean as were the towels, bed sheet and pillowcases. The shower was good. The rest of the room was very tired and dusty. The mattress wasn't clean and was very old.

The man who checked us in was polite, he didn’t mention the club... There is a club in the basement that parties until 1am. It was very loud, I phoned asking to change room but was told they won't change our room. They told me they are legally covered as their website states the club continues until 1am so I can't do anything about it legally. I only wanted a sleep, not confirmation about what they don't have to do according to the law.

It's not boutique and at ÂŁ130 I feel it's far, far too expensive, if all the other Skipton hotels are full I'll sleep in the car next time.

The room wasn't overall clean, we found a small clear packet which had clearly had some sort of drug in it, down the side of a chair. Upon stripping the bed we found there was no mattress protector and the mattress was filthy. Its a shame as it could be a beautiful hotel. At ÂŁ120 a night with no breakfast its not good enough.
