We stayed on a dinner bed and breakfast deal. I could not fault the place. Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Great little mini break. The food was of a very good standard. Car parking was easy and safe. Straight opposite the railway station with easy access to buses. 5 minute walk into town along a beautiful canal. What more could you want.

We have stayed at Herriots several times, and will be coming back again soon. The location is great, being just ten minutes flat walk into the centre of Skipton. The rooms are well equipped and clean, the staff are always so helpful and pleasant! The food is also really good. Five stars from us!

My first time in Skipton since working there 25 years ago.||The Hotel was recommended by friends and fulfilled all our expectations. The staff were polite, friendly, professional and eager to please . The rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean. ||The town is located in the dales to allow easy access to all North Yorkshire has to offer. We will be back and Herriots is the place to stay.

Beautiful canal side hotel. The hotel has picture postcard views from canal side rooms. The staff that we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. ||Our room was clean and the shower worked well. The only item that I found missing or not provided was body lotion.||Highly recommended hotel.

The Herriot hotel is in a fantastic location near to city centre, station and a large park to walk a dog. Our lovely clean room had a view of the canal. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The steak pie in the rhubarb restaurant was delicious

Nice hotel walking distance from the town and despite being across from the railway station, it was very quiet. Canal and park to the rear. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Enjoyed 4 nights here. Excellent location and the walk into town along the canal is a joy. We had a canal side room with lovely views of the canal boats and wildlife. Bar area and outside seating both very inviting.||Breakfast was ok but no more than that. The famous rhubarb preserve was unavailable which maybe was just as well as the quality of the bread for making your toast was poor. Missed opportunity there. ||All in all we had a fabulous time only tainted by something outwith the hotel’s control - an inconsiderate lady in the room next to us who stayed in her room with the tv on continuously for 48 hours. Expensive way to watch repeats of Bake Off at 4am.

Amazing stay at Herriots again, we stayed in the Swans Nest which was lovely and very comfortable! The food in The Rhubarb restaurant was lovely, and the breakfast was beautiful! Thank you to Chris and the team, we will be back again soon 😊
