No longer a hotel/pub, now garden centre called Bloom , coffee/tea and cake refreshments. Nice, new , compact garden centre , lovely staff, building works still ongoing (March '25)
Think also planning in for bistro type bar, planned to be up and running at a later date this year .

Wow, called in here for dinner and had the beef wellington, my girlfriend had a chicken burger and they were both unbelievably good meals.

Service and atmosphere here is great, very warm, cosy and old school pub feel to it.

Highly recommend, we will definitely be staying here for the night one time

Thankyou

Stayed here on Saturday for the night. We were in room 5 triple which is ground floor at the back of the building. The room suited us as it was quite private and apart from the gale force winds in the middle of the night fairly quiet. The beds were comfortable, bathroom and shower adequate and the room nice and warm.
The bar was not overly busy and had plenty tables and spacious seating. The staff were friendly and looked after their customers bringing drinks to the tables rather than have people waiting at the bar.
We enjoyed the breakfast which was a help yourself continental or cooked breakfast with freshly made tea, coffee and fruit juices etc.
I’m not usually one for leaving reviews but was surprised by some of the negative comments left previously by guests here. I thought the Craven Heifer and its staff were fantastic and we really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back soon.

Lovely pub. Remote but walkable into Skipton via a public path followed by housing estate. Would be helpful if more buses during set months. Not everyone has a car or access to one. The rooms were lovely with no faff TV remote to turn on TV and easy shower where a dial was turned for cool or hot shower. Very hospitable staff. I enjoyed my stay immensely.

We found this lovely place while looking for somewhere to eat. We had the pies, they were fantastic, everything was homemade. The staff are really friendly too, it had a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely go again. Couldn't comment about the rooms as we didn't stay.

Picked this place out of the blue on a Sunday roam. Came in for a Sunday roast and was not disappointed! Staff very attentive and friendly. I had roast pork and husband had roast beef, both were delicious. Really good cuts of meat, so soft and tender. Outstanding Yorkshire pudding and carrot & swede. Chef checked if we'd enjoyed our meal which was a lovely touch, really friendly chap (not willing to give away any ingredient secrets though!).

Visited for lunch and with it being a Sunday had the Carvery. Beautiful food. Apart from the meat you get as much as you want from vegetables and potatoes.

Took a while to get someone's attention to order desserts but when we got them they were lovely. Think it was because they were getting a bit busier by this point.

Great location - although nice weather certainly helped today.

Stayed one night with breakfast included. Amazing value. Room was clean with cosy duvet and pillows. Loads of parking space with a lovely view.
Breakfast in the morning was superb with a great cooked veggie choice. Service was excellent.
Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a base to explore the Dales etc..
