We stayed at Wood Grove B&B for 5-nights at the beginning of July as we had a family wedding nearby. For the first night my Mum and her partner had the second room but after they had left to stay in a cottage for a week, we had the entire wing to ourselves. This is usual if just one room has been booked as the bathroom is shared between the two rooms so there is no worry of having to share with strangers but it is ideal if you have a family group or friends.||||We loved Wood Grove - the rooms are a good size and the bathroom not only has a shower but also a massive bath. The rooms are well equipped (hair dryer, bottles of water etc.), tastefully decorated and also have good wifi. Coming from near London I was happy that the location really was peaceful, unless you are disturbed by blackbirds and robins singing that is! It is also lovely and dark and with a kingsize comfortable bed you are assured a very good nights sleep. It is in a fantastic location, immediately opposite Skipton castle and overlooking the Mill Race. When you drive in it seems a bit of a distance but walking back into Skipton itself is an easy 5 minute walk or so along the path by the mill race.||||Pete and Linda who run the B&B are excellent hosts. They take time to find out the sort of things that you may be interested in seeing and can suggest driving, walking or cycling routes in the area. They also can recommend good pubs and restaurants in the town. Breakfasts are served in the kitchen/diner and set you up for the day. Fresh fruit, large cooked breakfasts and endless toast meant that we often didn’t need lunch. All beautifully presented and eaten overlooking the mill race with an occasional glimpse of a kingfisher thrown in for good measure. ||||To summarise, this is an excellently located B&B in a very interesting town - rather like a Venice of the North. Linda and Pete are welcoming and it was a pleasure to stay in their home.

Spent a night here a few weekends ago - really lovely stay. Comfy, elegant rooms, which feel private - but also felt very warmly welcomed by Pete and Linda, with lots of good tips for where to go walking (and where to get a pint after! The Narrow Boat and the Beer Engine, fyi). The house is in a gorgeous spot, on the edge of the woods opposite the castle; nice to be able to look down from the castle and see where you're staying!

This B&B is atop the hill in the lovely town of Skipton. The hostess greeted us by asking if we wanted a cuppa after our trek up the hill. The house is old, and beautifully remodelled on the inside. During a full English breakfast our host and hostess talked to us about their many travels. They were very interested in hearing of our travels and learning more about Canada.

We were walking The Dale Highway and this B&B was ideally placed as it was near the trail. Also ideally placed for getting food nearby. The accommodation was quiet and very pleasant. The view of the castle was a bonus. Breakfast was good quality.

This great little b&b is situated in a beautiful location down a private road and the owners are very happy to share their knowledge and experience of the dales.||||We had a very large bedroom and private bathroom and the breakfast was all we could hope for with local ingredients.||||Not too far from the town centre, 5-10min walk, with all its pubs and restaurants. ||||We would definitely stay here again.

Within a hop, skip and jump into Skipton along the canal and great view of the castle up above. Cosy rooms and lovely friendly breakfasts. Linda and Pete had great recommendations for places to eat. Can't wait to come back.

Recently stayed here for 2 nights and would be more than happy to do so again. Pete and Linda are very hospitable and it's lovely to sit there with them in the morning having breakfast. |The rooms are lovely and spacious, clean and warm. The property can be found down a private road which means it is nice and quiet and just a 5 minute walk into town.

Excellent location in Skipton, close to the centre yet off the beaten track as well. There was good car parking on-site, the bedroom and bathroom were clean and attractive and the breakfasts (very important to me!!) were marvelous.||The hosts were very friendly and helpful - we really enjoyed our stay.
