Stayed at prime lodge and after reading Google reviews I was a bit worried. But after arrival I found the reviews to be very unfair. The room could do with a revamp but otherwise is was clean, comfortable and quiet. I would happily return. Staff friendly and if you enter your reg at reception you don't get charged for parking. I love the motel style as it makes rooms much more private. For the price the hotel was more than worth it . Thank you.

I stayed in this hotel in April 2024, and on my arrival home I found that I had a parking ticket for having parked my car in their car park. When I checked in I gave the receptionist my car registration number, and therefore I expected that they would then be registering my car, because otherwise why would they have asked for the reg number? I simply believed that like most hotels the staff have a console on their side of the desk that they then type the number in to. It would appear that this is not the case! When I phoned up to state I had a ticket all I got told was that there is a big sign and an ipad that I should have put my details into. The staff clearly know this but don't physically tell their guests to ensure that they have understood that the onus is completely up on them, and they take your reg number for a reason that has nothing to do with booking you into the car park. I have tried to email them to say that it is their fault and I should not be paying anything, but have received no follow up. I have then called them, and have been told that a large number of guests have been in contact to say that they too have had fines, therefore I am not the only one, which indicates that this hotel is knowingly not taking care of their guests interests appropriately. To top it all off, the hotel can get the ticket cancelled, however you have to pay £30. So when faced with the choice of a £100 fine, reduced to £60 if you pay in 14 days, or paying the hotel £30 so that they can cancel the ticket, there is little choice.|Stay clear of this hotel, or be prepared for a parking fine.

Got to say had to stay here a few week due to circumstances, comfy warm n clean..could do with a few tweeks around the building. But getting to know the staff on a long stay..WOW home keeping staff security reception/bar up to the manager and.owner (lovely guy)there like social workers lol great team ❤️🏆

Avoid this place.
Demolition is the only way to improve it.
Dark, damp, smelly rooms and bathroom full of mould. Matress is on a something made out of a couple of pallets. Plug sockets are cracked, and the shaver one in the bathroom makes a noise and is not safe to use.
You would have a better nights sleep in a van on the side of the A1.

I loved it, fun staff and had a good stay. The trip is what you make it. All I need is a place to rest my head and nibble breakfast, was cheap and fun for me.

First time using this motel as needed somewhere to stay while visiting friends to arrange a funeral and is only a couple of miles away from their house and price was perfect. Its not trying to be something it isn't, the rooms are showing their age but the bedsheets and towels looked brand new. The bathroom again has aged but the shower was powerful and everthing served its purpose. Tea/coffee and a very clean kettle is supplied and there is a tv and electric radiator.Staff very helpful and the maids very curteous. I have already booked a room again for the aforementioned funeral as apart from price the check-in time is 14.00hrs which is perfect.I did not try the food as i had no need to so can't review it. All in all not a romantic weekend away place but great for stopovers and again if you want something better you will have to pay more for it.

Please avoid this place, you will regret a lot if you come here especially if you want to rest. You first enter a small box that doesn't even have a window to see if it's day or night, the other thing is that you can't sleep, they are constantly shouting in the rooms and no one notices them because literally crazy people live here, drug addicts, weed addicts, banging on the doors in the corridors run and chase each other with one word mess, these are not guests of the hotel, these are mess people who live here permanently.
