Nice hotel, the reviews were quite concerning but we stayed in a privileged room so were very happy with our room and view. To wasn’t working, maybe remote batteries but we didn’t stay in the room during the day so not a problem really. Everything else was good, fridge worked and rooms neat and smelt clean. Only other thing was after using the bathtub the first night it wasn’t washed.

Lovely forest near by for early morning walks if you prefer not to use the hotel gym.

We had a lovely stay at the Mercure Hotel in Sheffield. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Thanks to Cara for preparing our room – it was spotless and very welcoming.

I would also like to express my appreciation to Muskan from the reception team. She was exceptionally kind with my children, which really made our stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, the hotel is highly recommended

Muskan was a very friendly and welcoming member of staff on reception, with nothing being too much trouble. Her colleagues were equally pleasant and efficient. Our room was clean, tidy, a good size and with nice decor. The shower worked well. Our bed was extremely comfortable and we enjoyed a quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was good. We would stay again. A good location for visiting Sheffield Arena, being only 15 minutes away (traffic queues permitting). Thank you for a nice stay. And good luck to the young lady who started work there yesterday! : D

Location is off track in between units however room was a fantastic size. However, privilege room only had 1 biscuit for a room of 4 - not well thought out at all even for a couple staying. Breakfast was a let down. Tongs contaminated as others using across the hot food. No free flowing water - bottled water (1) with a room full of adults having breakfast. No individual butter but a hard block for all to use. Waitresses have no customer service. Had to ask for cutlery which was dumped in the middle of the table. (Table not made up) Saw me with a baby and didn’t offer the high chair that was staring us in the face until I asked. Pastries not topped up so we only had croissants and raisin wheels. Hotels at a 3 star rating ask esp if you’ve hand full with young children whether they can help get anything or order hot food. Nothing. Such a disappointment as room was excellent but breakfast let it down with rude staff. Had to ask for everything to include whether to sit down as nobody was there for breakfast and when I went to reception to enquire, the breakfast lady came and seated the couple behind me, but when I turned up having seen was ignored. No chance these staff are servicing business stays

On the whole a really good stay. Good location just out of city to about parking problems. great taxi service links. Rooms clean and comfortable.
Only reason I would not rate 9 or 10 was disappointment on bar service. On returning from evening out we ended up queueing for 15-20minutes to get a drink at the bar, Perhaps 5-6 people in front of us. Two staff working but service was painfully slow. Queue was even longer by the time we got serve. Put a bit of a dampener on the stay

Muskan was very helpful and made our stay exceptional. Fantastic location near the city centre and breakfast is beautiful. Best hash browns I’ve ever had and the pastries are top end. Highly recommended staying here and the showers are elite.

Lovely hotel 10/10. Really nice polite staff. Rooms were clean and beds were really comfy. Lovely breakfast. Also dog friendly which was amazing.

Really was a nice stop over prior to the weekends away match. Easy to get to, close to Sheffield centre, a very comfortable stay and sleep. Excellent breakfast. Incredibly it appears to be next to a large container loading area, I had no idea until I looked out the window following morning, great soundproofing.
