Ideal location by the pavilion gardens. Ideal for the town centre and the opera house but with views of the lake and gardens. Very peaceful. Lovely breakfast with above average choice. Hotel was spotlessly clean. Gerard was very welcoming and gave us an informative rundown of the local area which was very helpful. We enjoyed a very relaxing stay.

My wife and I stayed in Buxton and drove to Peak District attractions and hikes. Buxton is large enough to have a bit of commerce and a variety of pubs, restaurants, and coffee shops but is small enough that downtown is a 3 minute drive from the outskirts. Roseleigh Guest House fronts a beautiful city park is 400 yards from the edge of the entertainment district. The rooms are nice appointed and the service is friendly and efficient. This was our second at Roseleigh and it has gotten nicer in the intervening 25 years, as has Buxton.

Fantastic! Ticks every box. Brilliant location overlooking Pavilion Gardens. So, make sure to book a room with the view of. Wonderful room, furnishings, appliances etc., all very good, no expense spared. Amazing welcome, greeted in my mother tongue! That has never happened before. Very clean, incredible breakfast, overall the best B&B by far.

Just returned from another lovely overnight stay with my mum. Gerard and Maggie are lovely hosts, so welcoming, we arrived 2 hours before check in and our room was ready, Gerard offered us another room which was bigger and had a much larger bathroom. Comfy beds and a lovely peaceful breakfast with a view of the pavillion gardens (eggs cooked to perfection) and waiting staff always polite and attentive. Will never stay anywhere else in Buxton, thanks again and will be back soon.

A most delightful place to stay in the centre of elegant Buxton. The hotel was spacious, beautiful and immaculate. Friendly owners and staff, great breakfasts and excellent value. Simply perfect in every way!|(Buxton is a great location for exploring the Peak District and the nearby Opera House has a wide range of entertainments.)

We stayed at Roseleigh when we were in Buxton for a few days. Very comfortable room, excellent breakfast, and within easy walking distance of Buxton town centre. Very friendly and helpful hosts, who provided recommendations for walks around Buxton.

Couldn’t fault this guest house. |It was very clean, attentive friendly owners/staff and in a great location for events at the Opera House and Buxton itself. Scenic outlook onto the pavilion gardens. Very comfortable beds and a tasty breakfast.

Very enjoyable stay in this immaculate guest house. Our gang of 8 spent 2 nights in Roseleigh. Our bedrooms were spacious and beautifully furnished, breakfasts were tasty with plenty of choice. The staff looked after us well. The location within Buxton is excellent.
