Knowing this place has been there over 40 years, it is still an amazing find. 4 of us went, and we all agreed it was so good and authentic. Between us we had the special sausage tortellini baked with mozzarella cheese on top ?, wild pesto tortellini, and the special salmon ravioli.
Raved!
The guys did wish there was more of a beer (not lager) choice but that would be the only negative.
Nice touch was the 15%voucher to the wine/cocktail bar across the street for after the meal.

£11.50 for a pizza margarita frozen from the supermarket. Very expensive restaurant, only good if you do not understand nothing about food! I You will be disappointed with the quality if you familiar with food. The staff looks nice and friendly but the chef must be lazy. The worst pizza I had in North east . I don't recommend!! No ⭐

My Husband Terry and I came across Gabrielle's quite by chance as it's tucked away at the top of a side street. We were here for my birthday night out! We had no reservation, but received a warm welcome and were shown to our table.
The drinks menu was very good, with both cocktails and wine.
We chose our starters and main courses from the extensive menu, which catered for all tastes. All dishes are pictured.
The food was delicious, well presented and we found room for dessert too.
The staff, Glen and Katy and the owner, Gabrielle were delightful and looked after us very well.
Highly recommended and we can't wait to return.

Ad hoc stop at this Italian restaurant, and we benefited from the teatime menu (check with restaurant) which allowed for a starter and main for £14.50 upgrades are available ?
Very good food options with larger portions. Check the children's menu. Friendly service, tasty food thanks!

High-quality Italian food is what this place offers combined with excellent service. Really enjoyed our meal. Clearly popular with the locals. On a quiet side street with its own carpark.

A hidden gem, wonderful food, good choice of menu, the black pudding starter is delicious. Very attentive staff without being intrusive, all the staff are welcoming and are pleased to see you, the car park is a wecome plus. There is no rush to vacate the table. Excellent value for money. The manager is very professional but makes each customer feel welcome. X

Are you looking for the best seafood restaurant in the town? Don't look any further! ?
Here, I had the best mussels ever!
This was the place we visited over and over again while living in Bishop Auckland. Never disappointed us! ?
The food is amazing, and the service is excellent! ❤️
Want to have a drink after or before your dinner? Why not try the bar next door, Il Vino? They serve amazing cocktails in a nice atmosphere. ? In case you are too full and don't feel like moving, no worries, you will also find great cocktails in the restaurant. ?
I hope the whole team is doing great, Gabrielle, András, Detti, and all the other top waiters who served us! Wishing you all a prosperous New Year! ?
