We had been recommended to the site by family who had stayed in the pub itself, great little site, pitches just the perfect size so awning on grass not hardstanding (perfect for a dog who hates walking on stones). Close by to some great walks, pub is great and dog friendly! Lots of people saying the toilet/shower facilities had issues with cleanliness but we had no problems, it is a site where you look after it yourself after the initial clean by staff...if you clean up after yourself there's no issues! Also look out for the ducks and ducklings, they made our week!

We stayed on the campsite and have done many times in the past. The site was supposed to have been revamped last year but the only real evidence of this was the new pitch numbers. |WiFi is non existent on the pitches close to the river and the mobile signal terrible. Adaptor , Sky type screw on, is required to get TV aerial connection from TV Post on pitch|Toilets in the Gents are looking a bit worn and need to be updated. Broken tiles in loos and rotten door surrounds.|On the plus side the food is excellent, reasonably priced and the pub atmosphere is always warm and welcoming.|We will still come back but probably camp nearer the pub side of the site with a hope of getting a little bit of Wifi. I know wifi isnt everything but when the weather is not great a bit of Netfilix goes a long way. ๐Ÿ˜

Had the absolute pleasure of staying at this wonderfully peaceful campsite for 2 nights. The pitches are level, well spaced out with electric hook up. There is water available by the shower/toilet block.|The pub does lovely meals and the staff were friendly and helpful.|Within easy walking distance is Peak Village shopping centre with a variety of stores & cafes. Alongside a nature reserve which is ideal to take your dog for a walk.

Site is great and very quiet and secure. The downside is that we couldn't find a refuse point and the shower drainage needs updating. I used the disabled ladies one and the water runs away from the drain and floods the other two showers. Also the cold taps come out with such force I got a soaking trying to brush my teeth. Site grounds are maintained well and are tidy.

On campsite dirty all round sinks. Bags and bags of rubbish.||Toilets never locked so public use them.||Meals overpriced. Ding food. Black peas in amongst green ones. Husbands chicken hard in middle. ||Asked to see manager. Sam came over. Not interested at all. Stood above us. Intimidating stance. No attempt to rectify any of it.||Waiter had a filthy apron on. Still had it on as we left ||Then we were on way out got called back. Said we had not paid our tab. I bought up our banking app and showed this to Alfie. Still said it needed sorting out. I asked to see the manager again. Asked how dare they accuse us of theft. Its deformation of character. They obviously don't know how to deal with complaints. And he talked over me. I told him arguing with customers was not on. Both staff were rude and did not help us at all. We are seeking legal advice over being accused of theft. And the food. Get a ding meal. It's cheaper and much cheaper.||And to the owner who I'm sure will disagree with me as he has ever other time someone has complained communication is key. As a retired NHS manager the way your staff treated us was very unprofessional.||Advice to anyone reading this read all the other reviews and make up your own minds

Stayed for two nights, room was warm and comfortable and had everything you required for an overnight stay. The pub had a great atmosphere and was obviously dog friendly as many walkers visited throughout the two days. The restaurant menu had reasonable choices for breakfast and evening meals as well as bar type snacks. The whole ambience was pleasant and relaxing.

Arrived early.. paid an extra ยฃ5 to get parked and hooked up...(On top of the ยฃ40 already paid).. |Only 5 or 6 spaces in use...|After getting access to the toilet block, found no toilet paper available.. |The toilet block is in need of modernising...|Being more expensive than the average campsite, you'd expect more water taps around the site.
