Booked in for 3 nights at the Bakewell Barn at very short notice for our daughter's birthday. Found the place easily, parking on-site obviously very useful. The property has been superbly converted from a barn, and feels luxurious but simple. The living room area feels huge and spacious, probably because the ceiling is so high! Decor is simple, elegant and clean, kitchen is well appointed.

Two bathrooms (one en-suite), two bedrooms; one with a double bed, the other with twin beds. The smart TV makes it easy to log in to any subscription services you might have if you fancy curling up and watching a movie. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean, couldn't have wished for more. Communications with the owners was excellent, very friendly and helpful. They left a couple of welcome gifts for us which made arriving feel really special.

All in all we had a great few days in Bakewell, and really appreciated this lovely accommodation. It's so close to everything but just far enough away from the busy road running through Bakewell that you won't hear a thing. There are only a couple of holiday properties around the country that we return to stay in as they are so good, this one has now been added to our list. It is excellent value for money. Thanks to the whole team who run and maintain this place! We will definitely be back.

Brilliant location, about 1min walk away from Bakewell. Perfect size for a family of 4, both our children loved it here and whenever we went out they couldn't wait to get back to the cottage! Owners are great and really helpful. Loads of pubs within walking distance with great food and drink.

Great location. I mean superb location just yards from the town centre

Comfortable beds, good showers, haven't needed the cooking or heating as were in holiday so we eat out and the weather is still good

Parking space may be tight for nervous drivers but fine by me

Very relaxing

Biggest downer is the lack of choice in the local cuisine but that's not the fault of the cottage. Basically time has passed Bakewell by and the local pubs are still the steak and chips phase. Great twenty years ago but please ..........

If you want to stay in the area then his is great accommodation and really nice quality

We stayed in 2017 over a bank holiday. Beautifully appointed converted barn. The owners live next door are very friendly but unobtrusive and left us a welcome pack on arrival
Was a great base to explore the area and we found Chatsworth, Haddon Hall charming places to visit.
