Had a lovely week with friends in the Wragg suite, comfortable cottage with good amenities. Very dog friendly & Kym & husband (& children) very welcoming & helpful. WiFi temperamental & limited information available in cottage but we figured things out - may benefit from an information booklet. Would be very happy to return & hope to do so, beautiful part of the country - thank you for a lovely stay.

Excellent in every aspect.
We stayed in Monsal Cottage which was immaculate and very comfortable.
Meticulous thought has gone into the Cottage with everything spotless and clean.
Burton Manor Farm is a working Dairy Farm and is also clean and well maintained.
It's a total delight to stay there and we are looking forward to making the trip down from Scotland to meet up with Kym, Chris and wee Walter again.
A lovely hard working Family who made us feel very welcomed.
See you again, Kym, Chris and Walter.

I was traveling with my mum and booked this cottage last minute, Kym responded quickly and gave us all of the information how to get there and check in. Cottage is located on a working farm, surrounded by amazing views as it is on top of the hill. The views were amazing. When we arrived we were greeted by free roaming goats, also there were 2 lamas in a fenced up area. We could hear cows as well. Accommodation was very clean and cosy, kitchen very well equipped, very nice shower, beds were comfortable, dining/living room had table with chairs and 2 comfortable sofas. The cottage has very nice vibes. Small decorations made it feel very cosy. We stayed for a few days and it was perfect. Located very close to Bakewell, which is right in the middle of the Peak District, which makes easy to travel to any location from there. only 30min to Dovedale, or 30 min to get to Castleton. Kym was very helpful. Check in was very simple. Thank you very much for a lovely stay.

We arrived a day before Christmas Eve 2023 for our stay at Burton Manor Farm. We booked a one bedroom cottage. I will explain why we have scored the cottage? as average because poor would be harsh, but only just. The shower room had mould above the shower head and in the kitchen there was mould above the kitchen cabinets. There was a sofa, a small table and two chairs and a false Christmas tree in the corner. On arrival there was no Christmas hospitality apart from a mass produced Bakewell Tart and a couple of tea bags and a couple of sachets of instant coffee. The bedroom was cramped and badly designed. The bedroom door dragged on the carpet and entry was obstructed by a wardrobe. The bed was hard and the pillows were well passed their sell by date and the bed quilt was very flimsy and not suitable for the winter conditions. There was no outside light at the front door, no pictures on the wall, just grey painted walls. But what was most upsetting was the amount of dog faeces around the entry to the holiday cottages. We can only assume that it was left by the two big dogs that seem to have free range to go where they want to.|| We were booked until Friday but we packed our bags on the Wednesday and we headed for home with a feeling of reassurance and relaxation knowing that we would soon be home to the comfort of our own home.||

Nice cottage for 2. Only issues were the shower didn't work properly and only dribbled out. Also the beds were really hard. And try not to open the doors too much as there are loads of flies around - did have a fly zapper. Kitchen and lounge area was nice and cosy. Location was good and only a few minutes from Bakewell and surrounding areas by car. Overall nice stay. Did inform the cleaner upon leaving about the shower issues, luckily was only there for 2 nights otherwise would have been a major issue.

Stayed in Monsal Cottage for a lovely long weekend. The location is just perfect. So peaceful , no noise from the other cottages and a great choice for us. The cottage was lovely. Everything that we needed, well equipped kitchen, comfy sofa, lovely comfortable bed with good quality bedding and towels. Plenty of hand sanitizer, soap, for guests. Wi-fi not great but was good to have some screen free time. Cute alpacas , goats and calves in the field closest to the cottages. Parked up on the Friday and didn’t get in the car again until we left on the Monday. Cycled through Bakewell to the Monsal trail which was fantastic and then walked down to Over Haddon and did the Lathkill Dale loop. An amazing staycation in these wierd times. Will definitely return.

I stayed at Monsal Cottage for three nights over the Easter weekend, with my wife. We booked very last minute so were lucky there was availability, but we're so glad there was!||||This is a lovely little collection of cottages and suites clustered around a central courtyard/parking area. There were four or five other parties there but the whole weekend was tranquil and quiet - we didn't hear a peep from the other cottages.||||The cottage itself was immaculately clean and very nicely presented. There were fresh flowers and a small carton of milk in the fridge. The furniture was comfortable, in great condition and really fitted the character of the cottages. We didn't really use any of the shared spaces but these were well equipped and again, immaculate. ||||It's an easy drive from Bakewell to the farm, and as it's so high up the views are spectacular. There's a sign on the main road so you can't miss the turning, which we were grateful for! ||The kitchen is well equipped for cooking if you choose to eat in. On our first night we ordered from Eastern Court, a Chinese in Bakewell that did deliver to the cottage. Highly recommended - the food arrived quickly and was delicious.||||The cottage is well situated for excursions - Castleton (caverns, Mam Tor and other walks) is approx 30 minutes away down narrow but quiet roads. Bakewell itself is less than five minutes away and is a really lovely town with friendly people and beautiful scenery. There is also the Monsal trail accessible from Bakewell, and Arbor Low/Gib Barrow is within 15 minutes - a very interesting archeological site.||||Overall this cottage was an excellent base for a short getaway, and we wish we could have stayed longer. We didn't meet the owners but didn't need to, as everything we needed was provided. They did call a couple of hours before check-in to give us information about how to access the cottage, etc., which was very helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at Burton Manor farm cottages. Bemused slightly by the layout, because the TV was at right angles to the sofa. Bed very comfortable. Fresh eggs for breakfast. Good walking from the doorstep and excellent Bakewell pudding from town. Lamas, goats and horses in the field outside and free range hens to amuse. Only criticism would be that there could be more natural light if they opened the ceiling to the roof more.
