This was a last minute booking and a great choice. Property to high standard smart,well furnished and equipped property. A nice touch that we also had some milk ,eggs and bakewell pudding on arrival. Sarah was very welcoming you are made to feel at home on your stay and we throughly enjoyed our trip including walking into Bakewell , Monsal trail really close by and exploring the wider peak area. A great location for Bakewell, pretty Ashford in the Water, Hope Valley and wider area .Would recommend and would happily consider for future.EV charging handy too. Many thanks. 😊

We have visited Churchdale Farm on many occasions over the past 20 years. Why? First, because the accommodation is of a very high standard. The properties are finely furnished, very comfortable and all equipment - TV, dishwasher, microwave etc - is bang up to date. Then, the location is very convenient - adjacent to the Monsal Trail and very well placed as a jumping off point for walks and places of interest in every direction. Owners Sarah and John Winkworth-Smith are always available and ready to assist with any problems. Overall, I cannot recommend Churhdale Farm highly enough. Book now!

We have stayed in Derwent and Dove cottages several times which speaks for itself. The business owner, Sarah, ensures that everything is just right and her attention to detail and eye for decor and furnishings makes for a delightful stay. The cottages are situated in a very quiet yet convenient area, Recommend the Ashford Arms for eating but recommend that you book a table as it is very popular.

Fabulous cottage in an idyllic part of the Peak District. |The cottage was very comfortable with all the equipment needed for our 4 night stay. We particularly liked the quiet location of the cottage on a farm just off a tarmac drive about half a mile from a busy main road. The countryside around the farm and nearby is simply stunning with easy access to the Monsal trail and Chatsworth and surrounding villages. Plenty of good eateries nearby was also much appreciated.|Particularly also liked the safe parking at the cottage.|Overall a very good stay.

Excellent location for walking. Not far from Bakewell for shops. Very clean and well organised cottages. Perfect if you like peace and quiet. Friendly owners who are very helpful. And complimentary firewood! Highly recommended.

we have just returned from our stay at Dove Cottage & cannot praise it highly enough! A real home from home ,immaculately clean & with everything provided that you could possibly. In lovely peaceful setting & yet close to lovely country pubs, Chatsworth & it's amazing farm shop & Bakewell only just down the road. We would highly recommend it & look forward to returning in the future.

A super, well appointed and most comfortable cottage with lovely hosts. |We stayed at Dove cottage in 2019 and enjoyed both the cottage and location so much that we did not hesitate to come here again on our first trip back to the UK after the wretched Covid-19 lock downs. We like its location as it is easy driving distances to range out each day to the local attractions. Highlights this trip include the Critch National Tramway Museum, The Staffordshire Hoard at the Stoke-on-Trent Museum, doing over Antique & Collectibles and Opp. shops at Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock, Sheffield and especially Heanor. For first time visitors do not forget Haddon Hall and Chatsworth. We are not into walking or cycling but there seemed to be excellent scope for this on the nearby Monsal trail.

Wye cottage at Churchdale Holidays is a fantastic place for a couple to relax and unwind in beautiful surroundings. The cottage is extremely well equipped to a very high standard. It is obvious how much work Sarah, John and their team put into keeping the cottage and surroundings in great condition. The location couldn’t be more perfect with the Monsal Trail only a couple of minutes walk away, from which you can walk or cycle to Bakewell and also link to many other walks and villages - and the amazing Chatsworth Estate is only a short drive away. We have stayed here several times over the last 20 years and still hope to return next year. We love this area and wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else.
