As a busy osteopath hard wearing work trousers were an issue. They would typically last 12 months and I tried a whole variety of retailers. A visit to Brocklehursts was well worth it. Their own branded trousers well worth it. Bought 4 pairs which lasted 4-5 years and still going. Recently bough another 3 pairs as fancied a refresh. The advice you get (which I really needed) and careful guidance from friendly staff is second to none. Excellent local business which deservidly wins my support. Wouldn't go anywhere else!!

I recently visited after browsing in the the other shop in Bakwell. I came in for a specific item but also to have a good browse. I asked if there were anymore of the item I wanted as the one on the shop floor was slightly scuffed. I was spoken to quite sarcastically and extremely rudely by the older woman in a gillet. Once she'd rummaged round in a wicker basket (tutting) and found another item I was marched to the tills. She began conversing with other customers who were obviously regulars and gave the bare minimum of service towards myself. I was all for leaving but I had wanted to purchase other things given the chance. The next lady to serve me was lovely and polite (long blonde hair, longy shiny black coat) I think you have to look and talk a certain way for some of the ' shop workers' to treat you as a half decent paying customer. Never bite the hand that feeds you. Great selection of items in store but will order / buy from else where

My wife and I dropped in to look for some boots and for a general browse. The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. They have a great range of men’s and ladies wear and the tailored jackets are excellent. The usual brands (Schoffel, Barbour, Dubary etc etc) plus some more interesting makes are available. We came away with a new pair of boots and gaiters and will definitely be back. Highly recommended
