The Half Moon in Balcombe is a charming pub in a lovely village.
It’s the only pub in Balcombe, and it really feels like the heart of the community. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the people there are incredibly friendly. I had the fish and chips, and it was delicious. The pub itself is gorgeous, with a traditional feel and a relaxing outdoor space. Looking forward to going back again soon!

came here after a long hike, loved the pints and the delicious chunky chunky chips!

The pub owner was so welcoming of us as a group of 🏳️‍🌈 women, and even hung up pride flags on the outside to welcome us.

Felt really at home and cared for here, would absolutely recommend - especially during the summer months, where the outside seating is super comfortable.

Wow!!! Just had a delicious meal here. Highly recommend the Homemade Chicken bites & Portuguese prawns for starters & Portuguese mussel, prawn and squid rice. Really lovely & friendly staff. Beautiful open fire.

I visited after a long walk. The staff were very attentive, even though it was busy when we arrived. The food came really quickly. The Roast was very yummy and had a home cooked feeling to it. I would definitely come again !

Probably the best pub in the area. No attitude, just good service, wholesome grub, and fantastic drinks. Highly recommend the fried beef on sourdough with Stilton. If you're in the area, then don't miss out

Came here in the middle of a hike on a Sunday for some food but didn't have a good experience. Staff was rude. Food wasn't special
The overall feeling was that this girl didn't even try to be nice and service orientated. Made us feel unwelcome and as if we were bothering
I would have left, but there Are no other pubs/restaurants in the area, so we decided to stay.

Really lovely community pub! The food is delicious (the chips are probably the best I've ever had) and the desserts are all homemade. Service is swift and polite. Even on a very busy mother's day this pub accommodates our party of 10with ease.
