Me and my partner have a buyagift voucher at pure spa. Initially, we booked it at Edinburgh whilst on our holiday but we couldn’t make it hence why we rebooked it somewhere closer to us which is in Bristol. I exchanged emails with Bristol Pure Spa and they booked me in.
Upon arrival at the spa, the receptionist told us there was no booking for us. We travelled all the way from Salisbury to have our massages and it was disappointing that we weren’t expected to come in. They did managed to get us in and did our treatments. We were a bit hesitant about having it because they didn’t expect us and they might just rush the process and won’t do it properly but they were really nice. Tara did our massages and she was really good. We felt really relaxed and she took her time. She did a good job
I gave 3 stars because of the bookings/communications problem but the massage was good.

I really didn't want to believe the reviews but terrible customer service and unprofessional!
I booked a massage through classpass and did not get notified that the appointment was cancelled. When I showed up for my appointment, the staff were not very apologetic given that they wasted so much of my time. They said that the massage therapist was off sick, which I would be more empathetic about if there weren't other similar comments in the reviews. I did get a refund, but I won't be rebooking! To the salon - please do better, and to customers - don't waste your time.

In all honesty, it was a pretty disappointing experience overall. Firstly, £90 is pretty steep for any 60 min treatment. I’d be willing to pay this for a luxury experience but nothing about it was luxury. I reckon in the end the treatment itself lasted 40 minutes which is false advertising - when you pay £90 for 60 minutes, you expect 60 minutes of treatment. The facial itself was nothing special - just a face wash and 1 mask with some very short moments of head massage. There were moments when my face mask was on and the therapist appeared to be on her phone instead of staying present or attending to other areas of my body like the shoulders. The facilities were very standard - no nice chill out area. I think for the price you’re charging you need to consider how to make your customers feel some luxury! There are plenty of other spas (for instance, the Bristol lido) who offer treatments even cheaper than this, and create a much more luxury and relaxing experience. I really wouldn’t bother spending your money here. It was a let down.

DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING HERE – COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST

I purchased a voucher for laser treatment ahead of my beach holiday, only to arrive at the appointment and be told they had run out of gel — the most basic and essential product required for laser treatments. This is a clear sign of poor management and lack of preparation.

I followed up with multiple calls and emails, none of which were acknowledged or returned. I have since moved away from Bristol, and none of the branches near me offer the treatment I originally paid for. Despite this being entirely their fault, they have refused to issue a refund.

They took my money for a service they were unable to provide, made no effort to resolve the situation, and have shown a complete disregard for customer service and accountability.

This experience felt scam-like and unethical. Avoid this place at all costs.

Pure spa have completely ignored several phone calls from my sister regarding the shocking service we received this weekend. They cancelled two people’s treatments at 8pm the day before we were due to attend. I am 8 months pregnant and had three treatments booked, when we arrived we were told that the only member of staff that was working ‘could potentially manage one of the three treatments’….. after cancelling on my mum and sister the night before when they had travelled all the way from Cornwall. Now they are refusing to answer the phone. How are we supposed to get our money back?

Absolutely awful experience - never been so badly treated by a spa before. I originally booked an appointment (prepaid £65) which I was asked to reschedule due to staff sickness - not a problem. However, this request came through at 8pm the night prior to my appointment so I had no way of responding. The morning of, I called multiple times before being answered. Today, when my appointment was supposed to be, I arrived at the Bristol spa to find the shop closed and nobody there. I was given a refund but cannot recommend avoiding this company enough.

A massage was exceptional, providing a deeply relaxing experience with excellent attention to areas of tension, the therapist (Allana)was very skilled at adjusting pressure to my comfort level and created a calming atmosphere, I would definitely recommend them to anyone seeking a quality massage

Lovely facial with Hannah just what I needed however when I booked this there was an offer for 15 % discount which you could use to book online, there was no option to do this. I then emailed customer services who said they will rectify this, I have now chased 3 times, you cannot get through to them on their phone number and my emails are being ignored
So any discounts ignore as they do not apply this which is a con !!
