Considering all the good reviews, I was surprised by the poor level of cleanliness in our room when we arrived.

Almost every surface was dusty, and there was extremely thick dust on the fan, the outlets, the TV stand, and most concerningly as someone with allergies, the headboard. If you are going to have a fabric headboard, it should be vacuumed regularly, but it clearly had not been. There were also cobwebs on the windows, the towel rack, and the bathroom vent. The coffee machine was dirty, and even after we cleaned it, it didn’t work during our stay so we had no coffee. The curtains were also stained and pilling.

The room itself was as pictured - small but perfectly adequate for a short stay. However, we did ask for an extra duvet, and we were told it wasn’t possible. I’ve never stayed in any other hotel or B&B where extra blankets were not available, so it left a negative impression. We also were only able to communicate with the hosts via the booking website or email, as their number was not on WhatsApp and we were visiting from abroad without a working UK phone. We never saw any staff in the hotel during our 2-night stay, and the room is not cleaned during the stay.

Overall, the lack of cleanliness really left a poor impression, so I would not wish to stay here again despite the convenient location.

We stayed in room 3 for two nights. The room was immaculately clean. We had the best nights sleep ever !!!!|I even took the pillow protector off to find out the brand of pillow so I can buy some !!!|(John Lewis). The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was very spacious, plenty of towels, shower gel and shampoo. |The building is ideally situated and I would highly recommend coming here. If you stay longer than we did, there is a fab kitchen in the basement. With cooker, washing machine etc etc.

Brilliant communication with me over the booking. Room was great, bright and fresh with air conditioning which was appreciated on the hottest two days of the year! It is close to a reasonably priced car park and a short, pleasant walk into the city centre. Incidentally the community cafe next door is a lovely spot for breakfast! I would stay again for sure!

A fabulous place. Everything was so clean and fresh. The room was warm and cosy and the kitchen was well equipped.
Despite being so central to the city it was wonderfully quiet and just down the road from an inexpensive car park....which is rare in Canterbury!
I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a reasonably priced place to stay in Canterbury for a few nights.
I absolutely loved my stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Delighted.

The accommodation in Canterbury was outstanding, combining the comfort of a hotel with added conveniences that made it even better. The location is ideal, just a 2-minute walk from the city center, major supermarkets, and restaurants, and only 3 minutes from beautiful parks with playgrounds for children. This was particularly beneficial as we traveled with a child and the kitchen downstairs proved very useful for preparing quick meals at any time. Additionally, the storage available downstairs for early arrivals before check-in time was a thoughtful touch. Laura was always ready to assist over the phone, regularly checking in to see if we needed anything. If I return to Canterbury, I would definitely stay here again.

Number 8 is an excellent place to stay in Canterbury. It is a few steps from the high street and Canterbury Cathedral. Communication was very easy: a code for entrance. We were in number 5 which is at the top of the house so was a light filled, wooden floored space. It was very clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was well lit and equipped with a chrome shower unit that had a powerful overhead spray. The owners have thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. Bathrobes included. Work space. A small kitchen with microwave and coffee machine (coffee pods and tea bags, milk pods in the fridge were provided). It was a lovely cosy space to stay with a beamed ceiling, a huge flat screen TV as well as a flat screen TV in the bedroom. A perfect place to stay in Canterbury.

Lovely, clean rooms, kitchen available downstairs with everything you might need and more! I loved the bathrobe. Our children loved that they could bake pizza in the oven! Location great for exploring Canterbury, which is lovely. Parking is a challenge, like in every busy centre. Thanks to the efforts of Laura and Julie we were able to park our car and trailer. Extra star for that! I wanted to stay longer. We payed 134 euro for 1 night for 2 adults and 2 children.
