So where to start…. I booked a family stay here to celebrate my 60th birthday with 4 generations of my family being in adjoining pitches. The facilities, the pitches and the upkeep of the park is top class. We paid a total of £402 for 3 pitches staying for 2, 3 and 4 nights respectively||My issue was on arrival where I arrived at 12pm to be greeted with the very first words ‘you are an hour early’. No welcome and no recognition that when travelling 3.5 hours you cannot always be precise with knowing what traffic will be like. What really annoyed me was that my daughter travelled the same distance and arrived at 11am and every though we had spend £402 they charged her a £5 early arrival fee. I did wrote to the park suggesting this was unnecessary but had a response to say it was fully justified because she arrived early and they do not have enough space for parking facilities for early arrival. How charging £5 changes that I am unsure. In fact we were aware because of one of our party arriving the previous day that there was nobody in the pitches so there was absolutely junk reason to charge.||So after spending over £402 I felt it was petty and when contacting the park after the trip they chose to double down on the charge and tell me is was justified||While we were in site we had no water for around 16 hours. While I accept this is out of the parks control they were happy to charge us for being early but offered nothing for the lack of facilities other than tell me it was nothing to do with them.||So a good site but for me the focus is NOT on the customer but on ensuring they take as much money from guests as possible.||Would I go back ? Based on the facilities yes, on the attitude no. I was not expecting them to refund the £5 but I would have expected a more conciliatory attitude than quoting the Terms & Conditions at me and justifying squeezing a further £5 despite me having paid over £400 already.||They have also chosen not to bother to respond to my latest mail responding to their points. I guess they have realised there is no more money to come from me so I am now irrelevant

Stayed here for a weekend in August on a hard standing pitch which was nice. pitches are quite close to the plots opposite I had to ask them if they could move there car back so I could tow my caravan out of my plot. The club on site was very friendly and had entertainment both nights we where there , There was a swimming pool and tennis court on site to .The site is very clean and tidy and had an area where you could take your dogs. The only down side was that there isn't enough toilets and showers for the amount of pitches they have . 3 toilets 1 of which was locked and 3 shower in the Ladies room, 1 family room with 1 toilet and shower, men's room has 2 toilets 3 showers for 40+ pitches .

Just came back from a weekend away with our church, we had camping and 3 pods. All ages enjoyed the pool (could of done with being a bit warmer tho).
The showers and toilets were cleaned regularly and the staff were always polite and saying hello.
The children also loved the park and football area.
We all took a walk to the beach taking 30 mins roughly (3 min drive )
The entertainment (ub40 & reggie tribute) Got everyone up on their feet and we all had a great night.
We had one lady taken ill an ambulance needed to be called, the staff on reception were very helpful and genuinely asking after her once she had gone.
We had a really good time On behalf of our church westover Beacon
THANK YOU 😊

The pitch we were allocated was nice and close to the facilities which was great.|The showers and toilets were very clean. |Unfortunately the swimming pool had been closed down for the season the previous weekend.|The clubhouse was excellent and the food served was value for money.|Whitstable is a 15 min cycle away.|We also had a lovely walk along the coastline into Whitstable which took 30 mins.|The only complaint is that the lock on the cubicle with the basin in in the ladies is broken.|We will definitely be returning.

Just got back from a family getaway in the touring field and we was really happy with the success of our holiday. After reading some reviews we was sceptical but we was really surprised how good the site was. |Our children are 5 & 3 so after reading no bikes or no football I was worried. |However our pitch was clean and tidy. The toilet/showering facilities were clean and always tidied. |The swimming pool is £3pp however very cold - you get the wristband for all day so can come and go as you please! Lol. ||Football pitch is on site which you can play football on and a tennis court as well. |Staff were helpful when asked questions etc… ||We had no complaints. ||We took, swing ball, small paddling pool, bowls and none of these was an issue. ||Thanks for a good week!

We just spent the early May Bank Holiday here and it was awful!||||We have stayed at this site 6 times in the last 14 months and previously loved it here (see Aug 23 RayD2108 review) however this will probably be our last trip.||||Be aware that there is major construction going on in the surrounding fields and work starts around 7.30am, it’s extremely noisy and at one point the whole ground literally shook! The site should make guest aware of this in advance. However it was the least of our problems.||||We had previously stayed here at Easter and booked one of the pitches allocated to larger motor homes, on arrival the new hard standing pitches looked good, you had to park between two white posts (how to park was demonstrated by a staff member) and was told no driving in, you must reverse in’ everyones pitch needs to look the same. ||The caravan next to us had parked outside the marked area, there was also a very large MH that parked how they wanted.||We parked as instructed but it meant that our grey waste didn't reach the service point, this will be a problem for 50% of the hardstanding pitches.||Also there is probably 50% less outside space now to use around the MH yet more expensive.||The site has a policy of no Cycling, Scooters etc on the site and ball games should be in the 5 a-side area. We know this is a family site but was great when these rules were enforced, peaceful and relaxing, children still played out and seemed to be quality family time. The website quotes “Quiet, Clean & Relaxing”||This was not the case at Easter, 2 families had brought their own goal posts and played all weekend. The hard standing area now has a tarmac road so bikes, roller skates and football bouncing was continuous ! The manager drove past these on several occasions and did nothing.||We’re not the fun police so didn't say anything at the time, I did write directly to the manager after our Easter weekend to feed everything back as I didn't think it was appropriate to post a review at that point (It was the 1st weekend open, 1st weekend for the new manager who had to spend a lot of time dragging Caravans/MHs out of the mud) he’s reply was very non commital/interested.||||We already had 2 more trips planned and thought it would improve and be like previous trips.||It wasn’t! We asked again if we could drive into our spot and too the right to allow us to connect to the service point and have more usable outside space, the reply was a definite no.||A camper van arrived and parked how they wanted as did the MH next to it. I spoke to the manager who said “I’ll sort it now” he didnt and they stayed that way. I only wish we’d have done the same.||We had arrived Thursday afternoon so the construction site was in full swing but nothing can be done about that i guess.||The next day the site gradually filled up! A mixture of couples and families. ||As the pitches seem smaller once the pitches are full all you can see is cars and concrete (probably not a issue for most) Fully understand the need for hardstanding pitches as the grass pitches become unusable in the wet weather. Whilst a good investment the pitches are not designed well or spaced out to give people enough outside usable space. I did mention this to the mgr but he said less pitches is lost revenue, lost revenue is actually loss of business from retuning guests.||||As you’d expect a lot of people bring their dogs (including us) at 7.30am every morning it was like Battersea Dogs home, continual barking ( combined with the noise from construction site) ||||At some point the football playing started on the new road as did a few bikes/scooters.||On Saturday afternoon and all of Sunday there was a child on a sitdown/bike/scooter thing - he seemed to think he was on a race track, he was with another child and the screaming was continuous. He was from a pitch on the opposite side and literally left to do what he wanted, no care from his guardians. At 9pm on Sunday evening he was still going and then the football started again.||||We were leaving on the Monday and planned to enjoy breakfast in the the clubhouse before leaving.||My partner was up early to take the dog out and was totally shocked and disgusted to see human excrement on the path leading to the toilet block, it was everywhere. (Apparently it was all over the walls and floor in the family bathroom but we didnt see this)||I went straight to reception to cancel our next trip and feedback our weekend experience. The manager could have not been less interested , he did say he told the family about the child on his scooter but obviously made no difference .||No apology what so ever, I said it was the worst weekend ever, he’d already implied elements were are own fault as we’d chosen the pitch (previously we were on allowed on certain pitches due to the size of the MH, this seems to no longer be the case)||We got our refund, I can only assume we are not the guests the site wants as absolutely no effort to encourage us to stay again. ( our next booking was on the grass pitches)||||The manger says he’s on his own running the site, I don’t know if this is a factor how the site has changed? ||There is no “hello” “hows your stay” or general interaction that you’d normally see/expect on a site like this. Certainly not “friendly” as per website quote!||||The weather was mixed but would have expected the pool area open to sit and enjoy a drink/lunch in that area.||||It’s so disappointing as this was a great site, we live fairly local and would stay here all year round if it was open. We certainly wont be returning anytime soon!
