Bought an ice cream today, (Sat). Very hot day, the counter folk busy but had time to smile and made me feel welcome. Other visits, I copy above, youngsters, chatting to themselves and no initial warm smile.

I used to like coming to coffee cup but last Thursday I wanted a takeaway scone but didn't ask me if I wanted any butter of jam as I wanted the jam and I wasn't charge for it then a staff said OH JUST GIVE IT TO HIM. And then staff was talking behind my back. I'm not really coming to the coffee cup no more. It feels the customer is the gossip and if you don't like something and we get talked behind our backs.

I used to like Coffee Cup a lot, but now I'm not so sure. Staff make fun of customers and talk behind their backs, which is completely unprofessional.
When a customer ask for something, give it to them with a smile and ask them to pay for it, DONT ACT LIKE THEY ARE ASKING YOU TO PAY FOR THEIR FOOD! PLEASE 🙏

Go here often with my 2 year old, they do a great little kids lunch deal. Staff are always lovely and always offer to bring my tray over which is a great help with a toddler and pushchair lol. Would definitely recommend!

Unable to sit in which is a shame but hopefully this will change soon. I had a toasted cheese & onion sandwich (fresh bread and the cheese wasn't too strong). The coffee was lovely and hot and not too strong either. Service excellent and swift. Will be happy to go there again.

Ordered an espresso macchiato and I got a small work of art, the espresso was nice and strong and and the milk froth was thick and fluffy. As an Italian coffee aficionado it's not easy to impress me but this place did!

Good friendly staff, Good Coffee, reasonable prices. If you don't like the big chains, support a local business. The Coffee Cup is on the Ground Floor of the Belfry Centre, next to the lifts. Tell them Ian sent you.
