The Clock House is a lovely, homely place to stay. Will definitely come back and stay again!

My partner and I only stayed for one night, and Amanda was incredibly accommodating, kind, and helpful - her cooked breakfast was delicious!
We stayed in bedroom 3, overlooking the spacious and green garden, and the bedroom was fitted with everything needed to make you feel at home. A marvellously comfortable bed and pillows, radiator, large windows and blackout curtains, as well as Television. We did have to share a bathroom on the opposite side of the hallway (directly opposite bedroom) with another bedroom, however this wasn't a problem and the bathroom was cleaned well and well cared for.

Back to the bedroom. The kettle and variety of teas (including decaf), coffee (also including decaf), hot chocolate, and biscoff biscuits was a lovely touch, along with the cold glass-bottled water.

All in all, we will definitely have to come back again. I believe Amanda can accommodate dogs too.

Had the great pleasure of staying here last Thursday night with my dog, Skipper. We were made very welcome by Amanda and the room was spacious and clean, a home from home really. The bed was really comfortable and had a fabulous nights sleep with no outside noise. Good choice of what to have for breakfast and again the lovely Amanda making sure that all was okay. Would very happily stay there again and can't imagine stopping at another B&B on the Isle of Wight now I have found Clock House.

This is a pleasant B&B. Warm, clean, comfortable. Amanda is lovely. However I would note for fellow travellers that this maybe more for the younger crowd. Shared bathroom, downstairs shower, etc. Not much privacy. Breakfast was decent but instant coffee is unacceptable in 21st Century hospitality in my opinion.

We, grandparents, our son and his two girls aged 14 & 10 yrs, stayed in the self catering apartment, which is separate from the B & B that is operated out of the same location. We got the car ferry from Portsmouth but it was running late due to them having great difficulty with a large removal truck earlier in the day, therefore we were quite late arriving on the Isle of Wight, besides which it was raining, so we were very late finding our way to our accommodation. Being self catering we needed to find somewhere where we could buy what we needed for breakfast the next day, so we located the Clock Annexe, but drove on to Freshwater where there are a number of supermarkets. While shopping Amanda, our host, phoned our son to inquire where we were, he explained, and she said "You will find the key in the door when you arrive, but should you need anything just come on over to the house." It was nearly 9 pm when we pulled up there.||||It is lovely, two storied -downstairs is a kitchen/dinning room, a lounge - which has a small alcove with a set of bunks in it (which the girls immediately claimed), and two bathrooms - one off the end of the kitchen and one off the lounge, upstairs is a twin bedroom and a double bedroom. The decor in these bedrooms is beautiful. The one negative for me is that one has to go down, what are quite step stairs, to go the loo at night. My husbands problem was that the bedroom roof and ceiling slope (A shape) and he kept hitting his head - it was not a problem for me, but he took a couple of days to adjust to it. The bed was comfortable and it was wonderfully quiet.||We had booked for three nights; we bought microwave meals for two and ate out at a family Inn for the third. All utensils are provided so you can cook your meals yourself; the large supermarkets in Freshwater have all you would need. ||Amanda, the host, does not have credit card facilities, and we had only paid a deposit, but she was happy to trust that our son would put through the payment to her account when we got back to his home.

Ive just returned from spending 4 nights at the clock house annex and I only have positive things to say. |Our arrival was greeted by the host Amanda and her two beautiful dogs. The annexe is next to the main house surrounded by a huge garden. |Inside the annex was very quaint, lounge, kitchen, two shower rooms, two bedrooms upstairs and bunk beds built in the little outcove in the lounge. It could sleep 7 but there was just me and my friend and my shihtzu dog. |The annex itself is fit for purpose. We cooked every night, the beds were comfortable and we have no real complaints.|One night it was a bit cold and ananda knocked on the door with an electric heater for the lounge as there is one in the kitchen and we couldn’t feel the benefit.|We went to The Sun Inn pub just up the road and if you say where you are staying you receive a nice discount. I think it was 20 %. The roast was lovely. |The annex is situated on the nicer side of the isle but you will need a car for sure to get anywhere else. There are no pavements as we soon found out running to the beach from the annexe.|I’m not a fussy traveller, and I note on here there are a few complaints. Well all I can say is yes some of the furniture is a bit tatty, things need to be touched up, maybe cleaner in places, take your own pint glasses as the glasses are tiny and yes the hot tap is slightly annoying. But this place is a little gem! So homely, we will definitely be staying again! Stan loved it!

What a find!||||Amanda (hostess) couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in room 1 (en suite) which was bright, spacious and airy. Everything about this B&B is excellent.||||Breakfast was lovely and served in a spacious conservatory with views out over the grounds. Keep an eye out for the three gorgeous dogs.||||Lovely location and close to the sea. Be careful if using a satnav as you may get sent down the wrong road.

Lovely house in perfect scenic surroundings, warmly welcomed, well appointed room with everything we needed. Sumptuous breakfast, and 1st class pub, The Sun Inn, 5 minutes walk away. Many thanks, Amanda for a great stay in your beautiful home.

The Clock House used to be a B&B but it now only offers the 'Annexe' - a separate self-contained unit which sleeps 6. If you stay here you will be the only guests. Brook is a very a quiet place, and there are no shops in the village. There is a pub about 5-10 minutes walk away in Hulverstone. The nearest decent-sized supermarket is in Freshwater. There are two bedrooms upstairs (steep sloping ceilings so mind your head!). Downstairs in the living room there is an alcove behind a curtain with a set of bunks. There are lots of crows or ravens around, so be ready to be woken to a cacophony of noise at first light! The hosts were friendly and helpful.||||Overall we enjoyed our stay, however a few small details could have been improved:||- The hot water for the kitchen sink was not a good set-up, water came out at a trickle at best. We used boiled water from the kettle and collected hot water from the shower to do the washing up.||- There were cobwebs and spiders in the pantry.||- Bizarrely, there were dog biscuits in the bedside table in the main bedroom.||- One of the bedroom lights was not working.||||It was good value overall.
