So glad we found this wonderful place to stay! Looking for dog friendly accommodation away from the hustle and bustle and this could not have been more perfect. We stayed at the Bike shed, one of 3 cottages in what looked like a converted barn. It's set in beautiful countryside on Bucks Farm, quiet but you don't feel isolated and close enough to amenities. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean and had everything you needed. Downstairs was the living area, kitchen and bathroom with stairs leading to the mezzanine bedroom area. Shirley our host was lovely and was there if we needed anything. Lovely touches when we arrived included a bottle of wine, scones with jam and cream, milk and fresh eggs! Everything was provided for us like washing up liquid, cloths, tea towels, towels, hair dryer and fan to keep you cool. Outside was a small patio area with table and chairs opposite the chicken and goat pens. Loved saying hello to them each morning! At the back of the cottages near the parking area is also a bigger decked area so you can relax in the sun in the evening. We had a perfect stay here and did not want to leave. Would definitely love to go back!

Not sure how many times we have stayed over the past few years but this suggests it’s a worthy location to revisit|Tranquil, calming and professionally run |If you want busy nightlife, endless shops and a hive of activity go to Tokyo as this is not that! Scenic surroundings, sea views and a night that showcases as many stars in the sky as you can see.|I’d like to say it is our little secret but this must be enjoyed by those that need it!

Had an absolutely fantastic stay in the Surf Shack. It was clean and modern but also very homey and cosy, especially with the wood burner alight. So nice to be surrounded by countryside and to have the chickens and goats right outside. Shirley and Terry were great hosts, very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay here next time.

My wife and I, and little puppy, have just returned back to normality after spending three nights in The Bike Shed on Bucks Farm. The accommodation was absolutely ideal for what we wanted. Modern, spotless and welcoming, which included that extended by our hosts. Within easy reach of where we wanted to visit but sufficiently isolated for some quality relaxation and tranquility. The proximity of the chickens and Pygmy goats provided us with entertainment, especially when we sat outside and enjoyed the amazing views, especially for our four-legged companion. Will definitely be returning next year.

We have just returned 4 night stay and Bucks Farm. Out of the 3 cottages we stayed at the Surf Shack. From the moment we arrived we were delighted with our choice, we were greeted with scones, fresh eggs from the chickens and a bottle of wine. The surroundings are stunning and lots of bridleways for walking. Nearest pub The Crown is about a 25 min walk which serves really lovely food and is very friendly. We mainly walked and relaxed but did take a trip to the Ventnor Botanical Gardens and St Catherine's Lighthouse both worth a visit. Shirley and Terry are lovely hosts and are on site to help if needed. Will be returning to The Surf Shack again. The Bakersx

We have just come home from a lovely stay at Bucks Farm in the Bike Shed cottage. Although we are lucky enough to live on the Island already, we searched high and low for a last minute holiday nearby for us to get away from work and responsibilities for a couple of nights! We found The Bike Shed and we are so glad we did. A real hidden gem 😊 the host Shirley is lovely, providing milk, homemade scones, cream, jam, wine and eggs from the hens which made our stay even more enjoyable. The cottage is beautiful, very clean and modern. Comfy bed, working fridge, oven, microwave, hair dryer, Smart TV, brilliant shower and bath facility and a nice size bathroom. Free wifi which worked well enough for what we needed. A lovely wide opening window in the bedroom upstairs which was amazing for stargazing and admiring the beautiful view! We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the patio doors each morning and of course watching and chatting to the hens and the goats too! Parking was round the back of the cottages too which was perfect. We will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family 😊

An absolutely wonderful place to stay! The apartment was spotless and the finishing touches from Shirley were lovely - wine, fresh eggs, milk and homemade scones. The views and local walks are beautiful and so peaceful. The chickens were also a real hit, even our dogs just sat and watched them. I would highly recommend these holiday cottages and will definitely book again.

What a fantastic place to stay , wine , cream tea scones and fresh eggs and that's before we had unpacked 😁||Shirley and Terry are lovely hoists , made us very welcome to their peaceful part of the IOW .||||The Bike Shed has everything you need for a fantastic break . The farm is in a great location , surrounded by fields and countryside walks/footpaths and bridle paths.||||if you don't fancy cooking its a short drive to local pubs serving great food. Also a short drive to Brighstone for groceries at the village shop. You're not too far from the sea , the coast can be seen from the farm . Great ice cream in Ventnor , Crave ice cream at the Ventnorian we would definitely return , may even have more ice cream 😀
