What an absolute joy this park was, from the moment we got into reception we were mate with a warm welcome and nothing was too much. I loved the small details, dog treats for my dog and little boxes of sweets for us. The caravan was spotless, big and very comfortable. We had a fault with our tv but it was no issue and was sorted very quickly. The clubhouse was nice big and airy, food was lovely with lots of choice. It made a refreshing change to see they had lots of staff on at all times so the queues and waiting time was none. I would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.

Our caravan was spacious, clean and very well maintained. The grounds were lovely, very green and caravans nicely spaced out. The site facilities were clean and well kept. |Reception staff were nice and friendly at check in and check out.|The bar staff were all very helpful and happy. There was a variety of choices on the food and drink menu. Was a bonus there were some great deals on drinks at the bar and also the food. We used the takeaway service one evening, food was delivered hot and tasty.|Indoor swimming pool is small but again all kept very clean, we pre booked the general swim and the pool party which the children enjoyed. The children had a fun weekend using the pool, play park, arcade and playing football and basketball in the sports cage. The guys in the arcade were very helpful and friendly too.||This is a lovely little escape!

Came here for a long weekend with 2 families and our children. Entertainment was basic our kids are only small so they’re fine with just abit of music and sid the seagull. ||The inside pool was ok the weather wasn’t on our side so couldn’t use the outdoor pool unfortunately but again the kids loved it. I took my daughter to the toilet located next to pool and I have never seen anything so disgusting in all my life the toilet was smothered in urine stains and the floor was rancid. I am pretty sure my daughter caught a bug from the state of the toilets across the site as they are pretty much the same in the whole complex. ||I later mentioned to one of the staff that the toilets are all really unclean and that it’s not ok for the visitors paying to stay in the park to have to deal with this in which she replied that there are not enough of them to have somebody dedicated to the cleaning of the toilets. In other words they are trying to keep staff numbers at a minimum to save money. The cleanliness of the park really did let it down for us and the added bonus of sickness and diarrhoea. ||The caravan was nice and clean and the beds were comfortable so no complaints there. Also the park is 20 minutes away from Colchester zoo which was amazing and would defiantly recommend.

We booked coopers beach as we attended a wedding at the venue next door called East Mersea Hall. The caravan was perfect for our needs, not too far to walk to the amenities and also the venue next door. The reception staff were amazing as we couldn’t get our keys till after the wedding, but allowed us to do the paperwork beforehand so it was just a matter of getting the keys. We used the bar/restaurant area and also the onsite shop, all staff were very helpful and friendly. The only gripe I would have is the prices, they are a bit dearer, but the quality of food was very good. We don’t get time to use the pool area but maybe next time. The walks along the front were flat and good views across to Brightlingsea and Bradwell. |May see you again next year

Returned from a long weekend stay at Coopers beach as a “test run” as I’m potentially buying a caravan there very soon. Apart from the terrible non existent phone signal the caravan side of things is nice and enjoyable, the facilities however, not so good. The entertainment isn’t the best and expected more for adults and kids, especially as it was half term, the pricing Parkdean really need to address, massively overpriced food and drinks, the food is average at best, my wife came home with food poisoning and has been off work, I removed an extremely long hair from my dinner and was not offered any good will gesture or refund. 90% of staff are very young and I had to wait 9 minutes and 3 staff members to open a bottle of wine to pour me a glass, cleanliness of pool area and general food/entertainment area needs to be better and cleaned regularly. Better off at your caravan with bbq, drinks and games, it will be cheaper and cleaner.

The accommodation was beautiful but was probably due a deep clean. The location is right on the pebble beach with easy access, great for a walk but nothing else. There isn’t much to do at Coopers beach, there is a tennis court, a football/basketball court. The swimming pool is extremely small and probably suitable for smaller children mainly, there isn’t space to move around. The arcade is also a lot smaller than other Parkdean sites that we have been to. There isn’t much around the park either, we had to drive out a lot to get stuff and keep my 7 and 10 year old entertained. We spent 1 day at Colchester town which they enjoyed. Coopers beach would probably make a good base for exploring locally or a chilled place to walk dogs and spend time with much younger kids. Wish we had seen more photos and information like mine, as I would have booked a different site. Staff are all hardworking and friendly though.

As a regular of Parkdean parks I wouldn't say this location was best. The staff were lovely, especially Zak, amazing entertainment manager with a great voice, fun guy also. Park itself clean although litter picking could improve. Food served in showboat bar was lukewarm as they tend to not get it from the serving hatch day enough even when we were the first in there and there were literally half a dozen customers. Some strange chatting and food gets cold! Apart from that the food was actually good, just needed to be hotter! Our lodge was lovely and clean, no complaints. Site is huge and the swimming pool and entertainment space wasn't big at all especially the swimming pool but there's an outdoor one too I believe? We went June so still low season. Beach there isn't really accessible, just a small end near the bar, it's all stones and shingle/shells, lots of shells! No sand. Clacton closest beach with sand. Although we had good accommodation, a lodge, and great entertainment, wouldn't go again as not enough to do and no sandy beach.
Enjoyed going to Fringinghoe nature reserve, Brightlingsea beach (still no sand though!) Cudstow us just up the road and had amazing views of the sea and a nature walk.
