Much nicer than I'd anticipated!||Two nights spent camping on 'HillTop' where all pitches had water and electric. Nice sized pitches and everything is very well looked after. Loads of toilets and showers that were all clean. ||A short walk to the beach, which is great if you like finding shells! ||The shop is quite well stocked but on the pricy side. We ate in the restaurant, both having haddock and chips, which was very good. All dishes coming out looked great.|Staff were brilliant, friendly and attentive.||We didn't use the clubhouse or pool, but they looked good, as did the golf activities.||The site was quite busy and looked great for kids, who all seemed to be having a great time but without causing too much disruption to anyone else.... loads of space for bile riding, kite flying etc. ||Fishing lake all looked well looked after... we went sea fishing, which was very weedy but caught a few bass. ||So nice that this side allows bbqs and fire pits which kept us cosy on a rainy evening :)||We'd definitely go again!

Wow, what a lovely holiday camp. Stayed for 3 nights on Hilltop electric section, with my parents in our tent. Everywhere is so clean, and tidy. |Toliets, washing up area and showers are clean and fresh.|Entertainments spot on, cash bingo, tributes and quizzes. |The restaurant, well what can I say, food was amazing, good size portions, and the prices are very good and worth every penny. Staff are so friendly, and the same in all areas of the camp. |Shops well stocked, anything you need or want.| Will 100% be booking again.

Close proximity to beach.
Bar, well stocked, good service.
Very fair touring price.
Hot shower, plenty room for clothes.
Suitable for all ages will be back grandkids.
Toilets cleaned regularly.

Disliked: Leaving for home.
Both of us paid for wifi, which wasn't great.

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Waldegraves Holiday Park! From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming and helpful, making check-in a breeze. The park itself is beautifully maintained, with clean facilities and plenty of space for both relaxation and fun.||Our caravan was spotless and well-equipped, offering all the comforts of home. The kids loved the outdoor play areas, crazy golf, and especially the fishing lakes. There was always something to do, whether it was enjoying the entertainment at The Wheatsheaf, grabbing a bite at The Granary Restaurant, or just soaking in the peaceful coastal atmosphere.||The location on Mersea Island is stunning — perfect for beach walks and exploring the local area. We’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a relaxing break by the sea!

Liked: The place is really well looked after with lots of amenities for young kids. Very nice location near the coast, but not for swimming unfortunately. Super clean toilets and good entertainment for the kids.

Disliked: If you are an early sleeper, you might struggle with the noise from other campers, or make sure you camp in a more strategic place than we did.

Hired a caravan , lovely van , clean and well equipped. Dogs welcome , that’s a bonus as our dog loves his holidays there. Booking in is easy and the check in staff are always friendly and helpful . Lots to do on site , private beach , fishing lakes , entertainment and lots for children to do . Plenty of nice walks . Shop on site has everything you might need and staff are very pleasant . We were first in the pool last week and it was very refreshing . Life guards on duty were attentive . Restaurant, The Granary is always a good start with a full English breakfast . Convenient to be able to get a takeaway too . Staff in there are very welcoming and make each visit an occasion . All staff on site are very helpful and friendly . We can’t wait to visit again .

Liked: Loved the cleanliness, the surrounding area is beautiful, lovely beach. The shops were reasonably priced and the restaurant is very good. Fabulous play area for the kids. No signal on the non-elec field but this was no problem as we prefer to disconnect and just relax anyway. Stones throw from the beach, we loved it.

Disliked: Not much to dislike!

I stayed at one of the new Elite homes. It is the ultimate in luxury and comfort with every thing you need. I was greeted by Janete the house Manager, she was very friendly and welcoming and also sorted out a small problem I had , straight away. All the staff here are so friendly, especially in the Granary restaurant. I will definitely be returning.
