Wonderful bed & breakfast set in a sweet rural location. The host Sam could not have been more helpful, even reserving a table at a local restaurant for us. The rooms were beautifully decorated with little homely touches for fresh baked cookie and fresh milk and chilled water for refreshments. An honest fridge was also available. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choice, served to suit your schedule. |Immaculately clean and welcoming, I would highly recommend this fabulous place for those looking for accommodation in the area. Well what can we say about this fantastic B&B. We booked this place just looking for a short break away from the city and it exceeded all expectations. A truly gorgeous and quiet location with plenty to do all around. ||Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and we loved the thoughtful touches of freshly baked cookies in our room. Also an amazing en suite with a bath and shower. ||Breakfast was delicious and had so much on offer as a continental breakfast (Full English available weekends only) we recommend the poached eggs on toast!!||We were very sad to leave but we won't hesitate to book here again when we are next in the area. ||Samantha the host loves what she does and the attention to detail is there to see from the minute you arrive 👌||10/10, 5 gold stars, SUPERB B&B!

We needed to break our journey and wanted to visit Boughton House that is nearby. Swallows Rest came up in our search and proved to be an excellent venue for our overnight stop. Sam was helpful in every respect meeting a couple of requests instantly. The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. A good nights sleep rounded off with a very good breakfast where a good choice of options was well received. The setting in a lovely village lived up to the hidden gem description of Northamptonshire.

This was our third stay at The Swallows Rest B&B. My wife and I have stayed at many B&B’s around the country and this is the only one we have returned to! Everything from the rooms, the facilities, the hosts ( Sam and Nick ) and the breakfasts are absolutely five star. The location is picture perfect and tranquility personified… please see my photo (taken with my drone) to understand just how beautiful the surrounding countryside is. The Swallows Rest is located dead centre in the photo. When you arrive Sam greets you and explains everything you need to know about your stay…including giving you a plate of delicious homemade cookies! Obviously, having previously stayed here we were familiar with the situation but this time I had my electric car with me and was able to take advantage of the electric vehicle charger that Sam has had installed for the added convenience of her guest’s…and which afforded us the opportunity of an uninterrupted journey back home…perfect.||All the rooms (there are three and we have stayed in each of them) are tastefully decorated to an impeccable standard and are forensically clean. There is a vast selection available for breakfast to choose from and are served in the most beautiful dining room complete with lantern skylight that floods the room with light. This room also has views out to the private driveway which is where we were parked and ‘plugged in’!||We visit the Brigstock area twice a year and staying at The Swallows is an absolute must do!|Simply put, The Swallows Rest B&B is excellent in every way. Do yourselves a favour and book a stay here…you definitely will be so glad you did.

This place has had one of the best if not the best room I have stayed in over my last 3 weeks in the UK. Large modern rooms, clean bathroom and lovely shower. Plenty of room to fit 2 large suitcases, 2 small suitcases and multiple other little bags without feeling cramped. There is a fridge, kettle, and all the amenities you need in a room. Would be nice to have a second stool or something so two people can sit in the room but there is a shared dinning room or outside area that can be utilised.

The host is incredibly friendly and social, she provided us with freshly baked cookies on arrival and provided a guided tour of the accommodation. If you are introverted it may be a bit much for you! Amenities(snacks and drinks) that cost extra are clearly labelled as well.

Breakfast is included in the room cost and is freshly cooked in the morning for you. There is a nice array of options available - smaller serving sizes so pick a few.

A perfect little hide away, so peaceful. The room was lovely and the view of the sheep from your bed in the morning. Great breakfast selection. Lovely little touches from the host Sam, including home made welcome cookies. Will most definitely be back.

I have stayed here on a number of occasions. It is a fabulous place, smart, clean and beautifully decorated rooms. Sam (host) is friendly and extremely helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Good breakfast. On site parking. Highly recommend.

Absolutely a gem of a place. If heaven is in B&B then this place is heaven. The owner Sam should be so proud of what she has achieved and she can’t do enough for you. The gardens outside are so well maintained and next door is a vineyard. So yes I bought a bottle.
