A lovely quirky b&b . From dolls houses to fun decor, the owners are helpful and pleasant.The place is very clean , with a good breakfast and homemade jams from the gardens orchard. Plenty of outdoor seating, in a lovely garden . It’s not very far from the town and near the old railway path if your walking the route .

Great location, hosts Lynn and Paul were very friendly. The twin room at the front was very comfortable, sitting area with tv and 2 comfy beds. The shower was powerful and always lots of hot water. The room and house are immaculate. Great breakfast cooked to order. There is traffic noise from the main road but it is quiet during the night.

I was amazed to see that the last review was September 2023, even though this lovely B & B with parking had friendly owners. They let me rebook at discount, after a family member was ill previously and I needed to pay for. Please read your email and/or the room information, if you need to stay in after 10:30, as it is not allowed when I found out I needed to. This possibly ends at 16:30, but not sure.|The king suite was really big and only bookable via the property's website with too soft a mattress and highly scented items that affects my health, so needed to put into a cupboard.|Please be aware that you are not allowed any computer device at breakfast, as I was told I could not use mine. I am reminded of the statement, "The customer is always right.", because the cost of staying is paying to keep the business going.|There was no front door key accessible, only a room key that needed to be left behind, if a fire happened. So, if the owners were out, you could not get in.

We booked a two night stay to attend a local funeral. We were welcomed warmly by Lynn & Paul who made sure we were settled in and had everything we needed. They were very accommodating when we had special request and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was comfortable.

The Breakfasts were amazing and it came as no surprise to learn Lynn had won a National Award for them!!

The double bedded room overlooking their beautiful back garden was wonderful and everything was spotless. We spent some time sat in this fantastic garden in the warm sunshine.

We cannot over emphasise how charming and welcoming both Paul and Lynn were and would highly recommend this establishment to all.

We hd a lovely 2 night stay at Bridge House whilst visiting Newark for a friends wedding. The town centre is a pleasant 20 minute walk from the B&B and has some fabulous pubs and restaurants. The house is absolutely spotless and room 4 was spacious with a very comfortable king size bed. Lynne is a wonderful hostess and her breakfasts are first class, the vegetarian full English is possibly the nicest I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting the area

We enjoyed a fabulous 4 night break at Bridge House.|Lynn is a most attentive host and we felt so well looked after for the entirety of our stay.|Our room was large, airy and freshly decorated. More importantly it was spotlessly clean, as was the beautiful and modern ensuite shower room.|There was always a plentiful supply of teas and coffee in our room, which I truly appreciated as quite often places only offer enough for 1 or 2 drinks each day.|The dining room was lovely, and breakfast was delicious; freshly cooked with local produce and home baked bread.|Lighter choices were available, but full English all the way for us!|The B&B is around a mile from town centre, which was easily walkable along a level road with good lighting and footpaths. Our room was at the back, overlooking the garden so I didn't hear any traffic noise at all.|The superking bed was lovely and the pillows were the softest that I've ever slept on! |At the end of our stay, I felt as though we were saying goodbye to a good friend who I had known for years.|Thank you Lynn and Paul, for making us feel so welcome in your lovely home.

I've stayed In hotels & B&B's but the nice thing about B&B's Is that they are a bit more personal. The two main requisites are a good nights sleep & a good breakfast (The clue should be In the title) Nailed both of these. I should also mention cleanliness but you'd like to think all B&B's should always pass this test? This one most certainly does. I also like somewhere to park too & good access to town. It's about a 3/4 mile walk to town If you don't fancy taking the car, which for me Is fine. It's also on a bus route, albeit limited In the evening. Lynn has been In the business for a number of years & she knows her craft but you can't teach genuine friendliness. After chatting to her for about ten minutes, It feels like you have known her for quite some time. Friendly, quiet & good value. What's not to like?

Gorgeous house, beautiful rooms, everything was immaculate,gardens are so relaxing,everything you would expect from 5 star rating. |What we didn't expect was to leave having made new friends and a booking for same time next year! |Wonderful hospitality from Lynn and Paul, big hugs to you both, wanted to stay longer.|Sets you up for the day when you've had a great breakfast and a lot of laughs before you even get out of the door! |Thankyou both so much.
