We had already previously stayed at The Lions. Absolutely immaculate, a very warm greeting. Pablo and John go above and beyond to make sure your stay is first class. They do an excellent job. Excellent full English breakfast, too. Because the weather was good, we had breakfast outside, and they set their garden furniture beautifully.
Their garden is stunning, like a country garden from a magazine. Peaceful and so very pretty. The Lions is perfectly located to get into town or surrounding areas.

We had a fantastic stay at The Lions. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our lovely room. It was spacious, airy, clean, and beautifully furnished. The Lions is within easy walking distance of Newark town centre, so it was easy to walk there for an evening meal. After a great night’s sleep, we headed down for a very tasty breakfast (including homemade plum jam!). I would highly recommend The Lions.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest welcome — the hosts were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was charming and super comfortable, and the location was spot on — just a short stroll to the town centre, which made everything so easy. Breakfast was a real highlight too — freshly cooked, full of flavour, and served with such care. We felt genuinely looked after throughout our stay. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!

Lovely house with off road parking. We booked at short notice, our hosts, Pablo and John, could not have been more friendly and helpful. The house is beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Could not have chosen a better bed and breakfast.

This beautiful Grade II listed building has been fully, and tastefully renovated by its two lovely owners. The bedroom was splendid, and the bathroom was both spacious and elaborate. There is free private parking and it's a short walk to Newark centre. The breakfast was very impressive in terms of quality and choice. If you are visiting this town, you should stay at this first-class establishment.

The service was excellent from beginning to end, John and Pablo were so welcoming and friendly, it really felt like you were guests rather than just clients. ||The room we stayed in (3) was very big but still very comfortable (although a king size bed could have easily fit so that was a bit of a shame) and cosy with a lovely free standing bath.||Breakfast was excellent and location was good too with parking and only a few minutes walk into town.||It was also good value for money I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking to stay anywhere in Newark.

A wonderful stay at this beautiful b&b ,such a lovely welcome from John and Pablo. Beautiful room very clean and comfortable, breakfast was excellent all freshly cooked and lovely fresh fruit.B&B only 10 minute walk into Town.

Our room (number 2) was very good, the breakfast was very good, and the local advice was very good but best of all was their welcoming and relaxed hospitality. It's just a short walk into central Newark. Worth coming to Newark just to stay here!
