Our village's community owned pub has gone from strength to strength in recent months. Tonight was a special event - a wine tasting night, which showcased a great new line-up of wines, perfectly paired with delicious and very well presented small plates of food. It was a perfect evening and everyone who had a hand in putting it together should be roundly congratulated and proud of what they've achieved.

For me (a frequent customer) it's the high water mark of a continually improving, hospitable country pub.

Sunday lunch is a real cracker too.

Great pub! Lovely and warm with cheerful and polite staff. The beer was well kept and nicely served. We had the vegan Mountain Burger and chunky chips for lunch which was one of the tastiest burgers either of us had ever had. Can’t recommend this place highly enough 😃

Spent a lovely night at this delightful pub, our room was immaculate and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The food was amazing and the breakfast was more than we expected. Would recommend highly 👍👍👍

The Sunday roast is absolutely delicious! Between our table we had the beef, the pork and the vegetarian nut roast and all 3 were great. Huge portions too!

Amazing pub, just how it should be, friendly and attentive team. Tiny Rebel IPA spot on and the 3 course Sunday roast delicious and good size servings. Our new go to pub when in the Newark area.

Love this community pub. We stay at Wagtail Country Park and frequently visit the pub for drinks and food. Lovely staff and locals.
