We had the ground floor suite that looked out on to the river Trent. Our rooms consisted of a lovely spacious bedroom with an extra large king size bed, a lovely shower room and a seperate little sitting room. Both the sitting room and bedroom had TV's. The rooms were lovely with a nice fresh decor, everywhere was very neat and clean. There were loads of extras in our rooms including, tea, coffees, milk, sugar and a generous supply of biscuits, even a jar of jelly beans. In the shower room there was shower gel and shampoo included. The breakfast was very tasty and excellently cooked by the owner. There is ample off road parking. Newark and Lincoln are both close by and there is easy access to the the A1. A short walk away there is an excellent pub where you can get very nice lunches and dinners prepared with local produce. Such a wonderful place we have already booked in again for later in the year.

This, I believe, is the best accommodation I've ever experienced. The location: fabulous; 2 minutes from the A1, so easy to find but so quiet one feels in the middle of nowhere. The room: the suite has the most comfortable and huge bed with a lovely shower-room and sitting room, looking out onto a garden which is a birds paradise and the River Trent. TVs in the bedroom and small sitting room and beautifully decorated with something of interest wherever the eye alights. Extremely comfortable. Breakfast: simply delicious, cooked fresh to be ready for the time we specified the night before. Kathy took pains to produce a delicious and vegetarian breakfast for us with an enormous choice of cereal and yoghurt also. What raises this B&B from the very good indeed to the sublime is the proprietor: Kathy Dixon. Kathy takes great pains to accommodate her guests' every requirement and is a fascinating and very welcoming host without being at all intrusive. Kathy is charm personified and my experience of staying at Muskham Moorings is that myself and the plus one have been treated like royalty. Utter perfection.

We needed a place to stay during an antiques buying trip to Newark and discovered this Gem of the Nottinghamshire countryside. Friendly host, excellent breakfast, very clean and spacious room, a couple of excellent pubs nearby, nothing else to say except, see you again soon Kathy.....
