Had an overnight stay whilst travelling from Yorkshire to Great Yarmouth and after visiting the Newark Air Museum. Not far from Newark and with several pubs who do evening meals a short car ride away too.. this truly is a find for folk who have to plough up and down the A1… We were warmly greeted and shown to our lovely room with an extensive countryside view. Our room was warm, clean and comfortable and ost importantly quiet.. and we also had access to a dedicated lounge , which wqs great for relaxing with a book after a busy day. Breakfast was superb, lovely juice, fruit salad and yoghurt , plus cooked english breakfast option too.. All in all a relaxed , first class experience. Would definitely return.

An amazing georgian farm house , with phenomenal views over open countryside. Beautiful rooms with all mod cons you would expect with the added personal touch thrown in. Breakfast even if its on the go is not an issue. Dont think it will be long before we are back again. A fabulous stop over with access to key routes.

We were met by Charlie on arrival who showed us our excellent dual aspect bedroom. The view across the farm itself is relaxing and its' easy to forget that despite feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere, you are a couple of minutes from the A46. We saw hares playing outside along with a host of birdlife. Talking of hosts, Sophie and Charlie were very helpful and chatty, giving us advic on where best to park and good places to eat. Superb, filling and tasty breakfasts. Highly recommended.

Sophie and Charlie were wonderful hosts. The location of the farm is just lovely. Set in rolling hills, it's the perfect getaway and great for visiting nearby Lincoln. Sophie has great taste and has decorated the farmhouse beautifully. The use of the stunning newly decorated lounge was a bonus. Breakfast was delicious after which Sophie took time to help plan our visit to Lincoln which was very much appreciated.

I arrived on saturday afternoon with my horse in tow and ws met by Charlie who had everything organised for a settling stay. My husband travelled seperately and when I came into the house they were chatting away. The room was lovely, good quality with the most superb view. Breaksfast was a well cooked full English which set us up for the day. I rode around local woods with my hostess and was not hurried in any way. I will certainly be staying here again.

The property (and the oak tree outside) are from the 1720s and form part of a working farm. It is on a slight rise and has a lovely outlook over the countryside. We loved it on sight!|The hosts are excellent - very friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts top notch.

Having booked a double for single occupancy and having had it confirmed I ended up in a twin. I really do not like single beds and told them so They charged me for 2 breakfasts instead of reducing the room rate by one breakfast. Bit mean I think.||They told me they would take the balance from my account over breakfast but never did.||A month later they sent me another invoice which I paid electronically and I have a receipt stating the balance was paid. They have now 4 weeks later stated they are sending another invoice. Good quality bedding and standard on suite facility but for £110 for a B and B for 1 not good enough. Cannot recommend.||There is a concrete batching plant not far away with lorries crossing the approach||road.
