This is the third trip we have done to Woodsome and it never disappoints. The staff right across the whole team are amazing , from Elaine in the office who is so accommodating to Elenor who served us breakfast and all the bar staff and pro shop team. This is a real gem of a place. Course is stunning and accommodation perfect. Will be booking for next year for sure.

It’s unfair to rate the dorms house alone, I have to review my/our entire experience. We were a group of 16 male golfers from Leek GC occupying the entire dormy cottage. On arrival we were welcomed by the barman who knew straight away what we were doing and informed us of the status of the accommodation. Food and drinks were served swiftly whilst we awaited to be housed. The golf club was awesome to say the least. A 12th century Hall with gardens all maintained in original condition. What a superb venue. Service was fast and efficient and friendly. We were shown to the dormy house which was a stunning 8 bedroom cottage in the middle of the golf course. All modernised rooms with showers or baths. Rooms overlook the golf course and the views were exceptional. We ate in the hall for dinner and breakfast. Both meals were stunning and the service very personal. I consider this to be one of the best overnight stays I have experienced and the value for money second to none. I will certainly be returning. It is the most professionally managed venue I have been to since covid. All the staff knew exactly what was required and made our experience wonderful. If there were more than 5 stars I would award them that amount.

Fantastic 1 night stay for myself and my family ( husband and two sons). We needed somewhere to stay near Manchester as we were taking our boys to a stadium tour. The prices to stay in central Manchester were ridiculous and when this amazing place came up we decided to give it a try and I am so pleased we did. Absolutely gorgeous place, the golf club itself is full of history and the main building is lovely. The staff were very welcoming and showed us to the Dormy house which is a very short walk away from the main building. The twin rooms are immaculate, very comfortable with a lovely powerful shower and the views of the grounds are stunning. Breakfast the next day was served in a beautiful wooden panelled room in the main building and was cooked really well. I really can't fault this place, exceptional value for money and far better than any chain hotels. Staff are friendly welcoming and make you feel at home. Special mention to the cleaning staff as everywhere was absolutely spotless.

Fantastic location. 16 'senior' golfers had one night and 2 days of golf. Beautiful and challenging course in great condition. Spectacular scenery. We stayed in the exceptionally comfortable Dormy House. Immaculately clean. The young staff in the Grade 1 (I think) listed clubhouse building were great. Nothing too much trouble. Food was also very good. Take the cars away from the car park and replace with coach and horses and they wouldn't have looked out of place. Thankyou

Beautiful scenery, the staff were great & very helpful. Dormy house is away from main building with great views of the golf course. Very nice rooms & great heating system. Breakfast was served with a smile & we really enjoyed it. We will be back in the near future. Thankyou!

Needing a place to stay when visiting friends found this little Gem.|Have stayed in Golf Club accommodation before, thought standard would be good and was not wrong.|Rooms sited in block to rear of imposing centuries old club house. Very spacious en suite room, very clean and all facilities provided. Including Wi-Fi.|So peaceful and quiet unlike most Chain Hotels.|No evening meals but staff gave directions to nearby places to eat.|Breakfast in Club House, a short walk away in wood panelled room with superb views.|The staff were so helpful and helped my wife to sit. Table set with fresh linen and napkins, and Menu to suit every taste. All food cooked to order, and my Sausage, Egg and Bacon was top quality. Have not had a better breakfast any where in UK in recent years.|Will stay here again if possible when in the area to visit friends, but it is great for accessing many attractions nearby.|

We arrived on a cold, dark, December evening. Woodsome Hall is a beautiful old building. The staff were welcoming and friendly.|Our room in the Dormy House was immaculately clean, warm and lovely. The next morning we had huge, delicious breakfast.|It has got to be one of the best value for money stays we've probably ever had and look at the view we woke up to!
