Went for lunch and wasn't disappointed! The food is excellent! There was a few options unavailable as they had a busy new year but still enough options to choose from. I started with the aubergine rolls which were delicious then the sweet potato burger. I'm not usually a huge fan of burgers that are made of vegetables but this was spot on. Full of flavour, fresh, homemade and the homemade chips and onion rings were perfect. My partner had the pate which he said was perfect in flavour, then the Welsh lamb steaks and said the dish was perfectly balanced with flavours, nothing was over powering other parts of the dish. Will definitely return for more culinary treats! Thanks for a fab lunch ?

I'm no gourmet, but I can't find a reason for complaint. Quite the reverse. I was treated like a family member by staff and clientele alike. What a delight to find such hospitality in such a historic pub. And the food was exactly to my taste. Thank-you so much.

This was are favourite pub/restaurant during our stay in Bishops Castle. We ate here twice.
Both times the food was delicious and the service excellent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming - the best we experienced during our stay. You feel well looked after.
Even when busy the service is efficient.
The beers are very good and incredible value - probably helps that they are brewed on site. £3.35 for a pint.

On a busy Saturday evening the staff could not been lovelier by fitting us in even though they had no space. To top that off the food was absolutely delicious. What a great gem of a place. Highly recommended ?

Well it must be the time of the year I hope. The place was cold, no burner on,yet loads of wood stacked up.(where we live, the fire is on whenever people in there or not). The beer was great. The food, well most of it on the menu was unavailable. I had the lamb steaks. As you can see by pictures, it was over done to say the least...my partner was OK with hers , I was very disappointed. Sorry but Worst meal in pubs all week.

Used to be one of my favourites but not now. Virtually empty these days. Last time we were in we left due to a noisy, swearing, intimidating drunk. They don't even sell Three Tons beer now as owned by another brewery. No management present. Staff lovely but need more guidance. It's gone scruffy, dirty & horrible.
