There is a strong smell of cigarettes in the hotel, there is dirt under the bedding, they do not change the bedding regularly, and it is obvious as there are bread crumbs, blood stains, and yellow marks on the mattress protectors. The hotel was absolutely disgusting and I do not recommend it at all. We recommend that the council go and inspect this hotel in order to determine whether or not it is suitable for opening. There is also a lot of dirt on the walls. There is a sense of unease associated with the inability to lock the door. The managers seems not to be bothered on checking the standards and when I complaint and asked to have a different room they declined and I walked away. I wouldn’t not sleep in a dirty place so decided to head to another clean hotel.

Reception closes at 10 so if you need a late check-in let them know. Decent enough hotel. Room looked like it had been updated recently. Very good value good location

The staff were very welcoming, rooms were clean and it was super convenient with town. Bus stop immediately outside the hotel door! ||Will say that the hotel was too hot. Not sure if the heating was on even in summer or if air con is just needed? 28C according to the thermometer! Would have also appreciated food/milk options for dietary requirements.

Rooms are very clean. But more important is that staff is willing to help You and they are very friendly. Hotel is close to the city Center. Bus stop for the university is outside the hotel. I stayed in other hotels in the Center but this is cheaper and better. If You come from abroad for a long or short stay I recommend you this hotel as your first option.

Very over priced for what it is. Service is poor and unprofessional. The owners barely speak English and trying to make simple requests is an ordeal.

The key card and lock on the room door are very glitchy and always seemed to take 3 or 4 attempts to get the door to open. The shower plughole in my room was blocked and wouldn't drain properly. There were also bloodstains on my bed sheet.

When I raised these things upon check out, the managers response was that I should have raised them sooner and she would have resolved them. I didn't find these things out until the morning however, so couldn't have raised them any sooner than I did... Not even an apology or an offer of any kind of compensation or discount.

Avoid this place if you can, pretty much anywhere in the same price range would be better. This place is awful.

They need proper hotel staff trained in hospitality and they need to raise their standards. Feels like they are trying to get by on bare minimum effort.

The hotel required ALL guests to have ID including my 2 year old daughter but this was not in their booking terms & conditions. They kept asking and asking & I was explaining no I didn’t bring my 2 year olds birth certificate with me & she doesn’t have a driving licence yet. In the end I decided to leave to stay elsewhere, I informed them we wanted to stay elsewhere & he said he would give us our IDs back in 5 minutes. I said ‘no, you don’t need them’ & he refused, only giving them back when my partner said he would come and get them. Bad vibes. I also arrived before 10pm but all the doors were locked. Had to phone to get let in & find out where parking was (smallest car park ever).||Prior to all this I had said that we were going out for dinner, so did I need to phone to be let back in & he just kept asking when we would return, I kept saying I didn’t know & he just kept saying he needed a time. ||Decor is tacky but never saw inside a bedroom.

Extremely comfortable bed slept like a baby both nights. Friendly welcome when I checked in. Nice clean bathroom but thats where the positives end. The breakfast was dire! The sausages were undercooked still pink in the middle and had a weird mushy texture to them. Yolk of the egg was underdone and white was overdone and crispy. Hash brown was burnt and toast was barely browned. Cup of tea with uht instead of fresh milk (never had that at hotel breakfast before!) Croissant not warmed as per my request and no butter was offered with it. It wasn't soft and crumbly and I felt it had been sitting in the kitchen a long time. Then they had the cheek to charge me £10! On the website it clearly states that you can enjoy a continental or full English breakfast for £7.50. The receptionist insisted I paid £10 as that was what the boss quoted him. However more serious was when I tried to check out of the hotel at 7.35 this morning I could not get out of the building as all the doors were locked. The reception is manned until 10pm then they lock up and go home. I had to ring two emergency numbers to get someone to let me out! The fire safety department have now been informed and they were not impressed. For this reason alone I can only give this hotel a one star rating|
