Lovely, friendly carbon-neutral hotel. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful: tasty, fresh, with an excellent range of different foods, locally sourced. My evening meal, of roasted hispi cabbage with lentil dahl, was delicious, hot and generously portioned. Unlike other reviewers, I wasn't given any unasked-for information about the hotel at check-in, just signposted to where I could learn more about its environmental credentials if I was interested (I was). At the time of my visit, I was informed that the hotel had been open for only 12 weeks, so it was unsurprising that everything seemed new and sparklingly clean. Personally I didn't mind having the coffee station in the corridor. The triple glazing makes the hotel super quiet despite the proximity to the M5. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. My only quibble is that I would have preferred to have more ventilation in my room at night, but the control for that seemed to offer only heating, which was definitely not required, and opening the window made it noisier. The hotel is very new. The staff are very welcoming. The rooms are OK but a bit small. The bed was comfortable, but the duvet was made of something that sounded like crisp packets being scrunched up. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room. You have to go to a station in the hallway which was quite a way from my room. This had no boiling water, which is no good for a tea drinker.
Dinner in the ISCA restaurant was amazing. There was a good selection of both vegetarian and meat-eater options. Breakfast wasn't quite so good as there were no vegetarian sausages on offer, so £20 for eggs, beans and mushrooms seemed a bit steep. Also, the waiter brought our first cup of tea, if you can call it that. It was a mug of hot water with a tea bag on the side! I ended up having the Devon toast for £7 which was delicious.

My stay was not terrible - but it was poor. Be prepared to pay £15 for the privilege of parking your car (miles from anywhere) and ask for a fan. No tea and coffee facilities - and recycled loo paper. Cross between a hostel, great hotel, travel lodge and Premier Inn - all for £150 for less than 12 hour stay. ||Bed comfy - but Premier Inn is superior.

Really like the eco awareness in the hotel, but this does lead to some issues. The quilts, which are far too thick (and, despite guests being advised to ask for lighter bedding, none is available) are very noisy. Also, those wanting a cuppa first thing have to go out and back in to their room, both with a bang! Went elsewhere for dinner, due to lack of dietary information on the menu, but breakfast was poor. Cold food, hard fruit and no fruit salad, alongside a really abrupt member of staff. Reception staff lovely. Loved sitting on the terrace.

During a heatwave, I’d seriously reconsider staying at this hotel. I contacted the staff to ask if the air conditioning could be turned up, and they said they adjusted it — but there was no noticeable difference. They then suggested I open the bathroom door or borrow a fan. But if the hot air is just circulating in the same space, how is that supposed to help?

Also, the cleanliness of the room was disappointing. There was a large, clearly visible piece of toy packaging under the coffee table, which made me question whether the room was properly cleaned after the previous guest checked out.

On the positive side, the bed, pillows, and duvet were very comfortable. The room has a modern, well-thought-out design and good soundproofing.

Great food had dinner and breakfast. Both were good quality and the breakfast in particular was great value when booked in advance.|Large clean rooms, and we were able to fit the whole family into one as the king bed plus double sofa bed option worked great. |All the staff were lovely to deal with, great to chat to and remembered the family. |This is the second time we have stayed here and it was lovely to see some familiar faces. Declan in particular on the front desk was full of local knowledge and advice.

Not the cheapest.

But every staff member without exception was pleasant, friendly and helpful. Probably the best overall staff at any hotel I've ever been.

Hotel was clean, tidy, no issues with anything the time I was there.

Restaurant isn't amazingly cheap, but it's a hotel so wasn't expecting it. Food was on par with a decent restaurant, enjoyed everything I ate. Breakfast has a great selection, but was disappointed it didn't have the scones it touted a few times on the menu etc.

TV / entertainment system in the room was one of the best I've dealt with.

Not the cheapest, but would absolutely use again.

Absolutely outstanding !! If Travelodge found out what you are doing ,they would make a fortune.😄 The most helpful and enabling staff when arriving with a trailer and the restaurant was an oasis in a world of hotel mediocrity including the breakfast. The room was perfect in every way and I could see and understand the huge amount of design and detail. The bed was the best ever and I slept like a log. I understand the no kettle in the room policy and I'll bring my own next time 😂
A great hotel, blessed with a great team of Chefs and outstanding staff.
