We were greeted by Chelsea who kindly let us have our booked table early. We were served by Ethan who seemed very knowledgeable when asked about the menu. The food was lovely and service efficient. Will definitely visit again. Oh, and the portions are very generous. We came home with a doggy box!

Picked this place due to its rating and proximity to places we were visiting. They squeezed us into a table and gave friendly and welcoming service. The roast beef and chicken were delicious! We also ordered a pizza for the kids to share and it was good too.

We were enjoying our drinks but were approached by a member of staff who told us to vacate our table immediately as they needed it for the table next to us. There was no sign on our table telling us to vacate at a designated time if there had been we would have took note. There was no apology and when we said we would like to stay and finish our drinks he said we could move to another table. Terrible customer service which is a shame as we were planning to dine there the next evening.! !!

Just passing and dropped in for a snack. Fantastic food and service, will go back next time we’re in the area!
We didn’t stay over night though (staying elsewhere locally).

came for Sunday lunch. service quick but very inattentive. never asked if we wanted sauces. never came to ask if everything was OK or if we wanted another drink. when the table was cleared we were asked if wanted a dessert. we said no but could we have the bill. After 10 minutes we decided to just go to the bar to pay to be told sit back down. can't you wait. we said no we've been waiting and paid. luckily food was lovely despite the lack of promised parsnips and the fore mentioned lack of sauces. . hopefully was just a bad day as usually really satisfied here

Found this dog-friendly gastro public house.
Omg, yes it's certainly dog friendly, and yes it's a gastro pub, but I'll say this, the food is delicious, the Sunday lunch menu is in abundance, something to temp everyone, we opted for a traditional roast beef, and it was delicious. And lots of it. Fresh seasonal vegetables, in a butter glaze, (pigs in blankets), to die for, and wow, the roast beef, was so tender, it melts. In you're mouth.

We had a break, before dessert, honky glazed lemon tart, with cream.

So, if you're looking for a fantastic pub, that is dog-friendly and serves delicious food. And has friendly staff

Look no further, you will be making another booking, just like we intend to do!
