New experience for me. Opened fairly recently but as I live abroad I haven't visited Muswell Hill in a while.

A small chain throughout London with a very worthy ethos in that they employ ex-residents of His Majesty's Prisons.

Perhaps this is simply a marketing tool or not. It is still something I personally think should be supported so I am here to try a coffee at least.

Right....now...service was great....Coffee was well prepared and unlike many in the area rather tasty and my pastry was well above average.

I have seen some rather purile negative reviews regarding the tip that the machine automatically requests before you pay. 1) If you don't want to leave a tip, the option is there to say no and 2) it's perfectly normal in any other country in Europe so stop complaining.

Good free WiFi and comfortable chairs.

Nice experience and highly recommended.

Redemption Roasters offers a wide range of coffees and cold brews with a limited sandwich and children’s menu.
They employ people who have had contact with the judicial system. Having a criminal record makes it very hard to find a job so this is a great initiative.
Tables outside and nice and airy within with good music. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Check it out!

The coffee was good, but the service left much to be desired. One of the staff members made a mistake with our order, which wasn’t a big issue- mistakes happen. However, when I politely pointed it out, she went to correct it but then complained about it to a colleague, which felt unprofessional, especially since the mistake wasn’t mine. I had ordered two oat milk coffees but was initially served one with oat milk and one with cow’s milk.

Later, as we were mid-conversation bearing in mind it was almost leaving time, another staff member interrupted us to ask us to leave because they were closing soon. What made it worse was that she then gestured something to her colleague, making it clear they were talking about us. Before leaving, I addressed both of them, advising them to be more mindful of their behaviour when customers are present. Professionalism and good customer service go a long way, and unfortunately, that was lacking here.

Coffee was very nice, but didn't like that they ask for a tip before payment. It must guilt-trip many people into paying extra for the standard experience of getting a coffee and I expect a lot of those people won't be back.

Good coffee but they’re starting to use this American-style tip-at-payment system. This trend needs to be stopped in its tracks before it takes over London.

I am so happy my favourite coffee shop is in Muswell Hill! The coffee is the best in the area and the service is so lovely and friendly. The social impact is incredible as well. I had the filter coffee which was delicious and so were the pastries. I will definitely be a regular visitor here.

i’ve began coming here recently, have had the same servers and they were absolutely lovely 🙂 (wednesday 27th nov). food was amazing! me and my friend agreed that it was delicious and were saying how we wanted to come more regularly. the coffee is lovely, food is great and lovely service. more on the expensive side but with this economy - everything is, so not something i’d complain about personally. love it here!
