This is my second visit in the last 3 years. Unfortunately, things have only gone worse since my last visit. Last time the staff gave us wrong information when we checked in and we missed breakfast that was inclusive. They dint even offer a discount or alternatives. Very disappointed. |This time the price was still high and the place look even shabbier. Everything is old and almost broken. The scenery is great but the facilities are appalling. |The door locks were almost broken. The beds have lost its springs (same as my last visit), not a comfortable night at all. Pieces of furnitures are the same bad conditions as before. Not suitable for families. |For a £147x3 night atleast a good mattress would have been nice. We had 3 rooms and all were the same! |This place really need a renovation. There seem to be a change in management (oyo) since my last visit but they don’t seem to have done anything!

We booked a Groupon deal for four people. Nice place but the service was poor to say the least. We ordered Sunday roast for two and one lamb and one pork. The waiter told us beforehand you get a portion of vegetables per two people. We got one and the waiter asked if we would like more gravy. We said we did and asked if we could have the other portion of vegetables. We did not get either and when asked if we enjoyed our meal we told them about this but didn't get much of an apology or response. We decided against the tip! The food was quite nice to be fair, hence the two stars or would have been less.

We booked this hotel as we were attending a wedding near by. This was a last minute booking and we were very happy with the stay. ||||We requested an early check in, as the check in time was at 2pm and the wedding started at 1pm. They were unable to allow us an early check in properly but they did allow us to put our bags in the room and take the key with us, so that we didn't have to mess around later on. ||||The room was small and could do with a few improvements (the mattress was a little lumpy, but not unbearable) but it was adequate for our needs, for a 1 night stay. ||||We weren't informed at what time the breakfast finished (which is included in the room price) but the staff were more than accommodating and made us breakfast anyway. ||||The location overlooks beautiful countryside from the rear, which you would not expect from the front of the hotel/roadside.

The outside of the hotel is not half as bad as inside granted it looks decent Upon first inspections,Please do not let that fool you..... I don’t know how on earth the company gets away with advertising such a well Furnished cozy room for you to arrive and see the shocking 1900s style room, the carpet was stained in various places , the bathroom light didn’t work and the tiles were peeling away from the wall the shower was horrific, I would rather wash in my own Faeces! not to mention the towels would of erased all my sins they was that rough! And door didn’t have a lock on! The tv that was almost pulling the wall off with it had only 5 channels!! The bed sheets was stained and smelt like pure foist ..... so I took of the cover off to find a mouldy Duvet the mattress was horrific .... gravel would of been more comforting .....the bedside drawers had dust in and didn’t close properly! The kettle had a thick layer of black dirt and grime all over the rim of it and the heating component at the bottom looked rusty as hell !! The windows didn’t close properly so I couldn’t sleep I was freezing and the heating was broken! The rooms are so overpriced for the slum that it turned out to be , I feel sorry for the staff that have to represent that hotel ! I would be ashamed knowing it’s all shambles!! I am absolutely outraged at my experience! It’s nothing like the photos online at all , I understand this may be a low budget business but there is standard expectations for any business!! I shall not recommend this to anyone not now not EVER ! I hope the hotel gets Incinerated! The staff are very very rude and not welcoming also !!

|||||||Ok, what can I say, we booked here for one night Saturday 12th October, got to reception to be told, sorry there is no bar or restaurant open. What could we say, the gentleman behind reception was very apologetic and advised of alternative food options for eating, however that was not our plan as we like to stay and dine.  So we went to to our room despite being advised of this tragic news, only to find a very outdated room that can only be described as something from Faulty Towers. Tired looking and very outdated, and so much so, someone had used the toilet and not flushed after, eeewww!!!||The building is lovely to look at from the outside which is such a shame.  We were advised that the manager was selling up. However this need to be advertised when booking as we were completely not aware of this. When you look online, nothing is mentioned to the fact that there is no bar and no food served at all, apart from breakfast. So disappointed, checked out within the hour. Lost our faith in OYO . Cant believe a big chain like this offers such a place. We booked with our Emirates Airmiles what a mistake.that was. I am.surprised Emirates want to.be associated with you. We made alternative arrangements as we still.wanted.our night away cost us over £100 for the room.only.||

After reading some of the reviews I was expecting horror. People need to look at the price they are paying and then having a expectation. The guy at reception was brill had a bit of banter and was honest about the rooms etc. Paul who was in the bar for breakfast was also very polite with everyone he came across always smiling. Parking 5/5 hospitality 5/5 rooms 4/5. Much better then a travel lodge....

As we was going to a funeral, we thought the hotel looked very relaxing on the website, so we rang and booked two rooms. On arrival however, it was anything but relaxing. We was told there had been no food for ten weeks or drink, as the restaurant and the pub had been sold. We had to go around the area to find an eating place for the evening which we was not familiar with. The room was too hot, again we was told that there was a problem with the heating but the plumbers could not fix, halve of the hotel was cold and we was in the hottest part, so we roasted all night and the bathroom was a sickly heat. The next morning we had to put on our attire for the funeral and find somewhere for our breakfast. We thought this hotel would have said when we booked that there was nowhere to eat, drink and relax. Instead we was upset even more and the morning of your mothers funeral is stressful enough without all the extra stress we had to endure finding another place to eat. We was given £5 each back for not being able to have breakfast. They should not
be advertising bed and breakfast when they have closed everything down because they had sold it. So no I would NOT recommend this hotel.
