Do not book! They are scammers, I paid 13 week upfront and deposit, from day one never had hot water or heating, all of us tenants complain and notify them but get ignored, they advertise the rooms as flats although the kitchen doesn't exist, and the communal kitchen has a rusty microwave and washing machine, nothing else, due to the lack of a kitchen and no heating or hot water for over a month at times, I have proof, I gave my notice and moved out with still 2 weeks and deposit, I have been name called and ignored ever since and they refuse to refund me

Great local pub, central to the village.

Good range of beers and spirits (wines too I guess but don't drink that muck so can't really comment 🤣).

Karaoke is good fun. Attracts a good crowd and some pretty good singers ( then there's me. So you can't win em all!).

Pool table.

Rooms above but never stayed. Yet.

Love it.

If it was possible to give zero stars I would. Avoid staying here if you can, while the location is good, the stairs up to rooms are disgustingly dirty, room itself not clean, no heating, no hot water, no remote for tv, no plug points for charging, absolutely zero service or help when requested. Possibly worst accommodation we have ever stayed in, a shame to the area

Me and my partner stayed here for 2 nights over a weekend, the room was great and was definitely worth the price.. ||we always went and had a few drinks in the hotel bar which also had karaoke on for a few hours on the Friday evening ( Yes I got up and had a sing ) ||||There is plenty of places to eat, straight on the door step there is 2 restaurants, and plenty of other places within minutes walk. We then went for a few drinks along the ‘strip’ where their is plenty of different bars and pubs for everyone’s taste, we always came back to the hotel bar for a couple of drinks before we went to bed. ||||In the morning, the hotel has a little sit in cafe next door, this was useful in morning when I was craving a full English! And it was spot on, fully recommend. ||||Finally the staff was amazing, and always made us feel welcome. We will definitely return to have a few of those sweetie shots also ha. ||||5 star stay. thankyou!

Booked this rather last minute. Unexpected trip to the North . And decided upon this area so that I could meet up with a I|old school friend. Booked through booking .com which says that there are free parking facilities . I couldn’t find any where to park. Upon phoning the hotel they said they have no parking as such. But there |is a small car park up the next side street if there is a space. I found the car park but it says no parking as construction work. And as there was a gate which could be locked I didn’t fancy having my car locked in when I was leaving early morning. So I parked in the town car park by the market it wasn’t too far to walk. 50p an hour then free from 6PM to 8AM. So not too bad. Hotel is centrally located in the town. |Room was adequate. It was a single room which I had booked. Bed was comfortable. |Decent shower and bathroom. Tea and coffee making facilities. My only criticism would be the floor could have been cleaner. And the floors and stairs throughout could have been cleaner. But for what I paid I could complain. I popped out . When I returned the music was very loud in the bar. But once in the bedroom I didn’t hear a thing and had a good night sleep. |Good value for money accommodation.

A better pub than hotel. V pleasant staff. The hotel rooms are quite basic but clean. The live music did not affect us on the second floor. good playing too from a pal of Embrace. Friendly drinking crowd on a Friday night.
