Elmfield is a lovely place and Kirsty is very attentive and an amazing host. The location is lovely and the place is very peaceful and the room was set out to a high standard. Lots of amazing places to visit, including their own secluded wood and pond. Ideal for Catterick, Richmond and many other picturesque towns and villages. Visit the Georgian theatre in Richmond, Asgarth waterfalls and many of the traditional village pubs/ restaurants.

Went here after seeing reviews and we weren't disappointed. We were met by a lovely host who offered us a cup of tea and cake , she was very friendly. The rooms are exceptionally clean and tidy and the breakfast was really good. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This has been one of the most wonderful stays we have had. Went for our anniversary. Sadly didn’t have a long enough stay to fully benefit. Kirsty knowledge of the area is amazingz |Breakfast spot on. Wonderful family run, homely and comfortable environment. Shared lots of cricket knowledge with my cricket mad husband.

I stayed in the cottage at Elmfield whilst my family stayed in the B & B. What a great time we had with Kirsty and family. Great food and immaculate. We will be back again soon. A beautiful place, fantastic views and nice places to walk, and nice weather ||

We have had a most enjoyable couple of days away in North Yorkshire. If you are looking for a covid safe place to stay I would recommend Elmfield House in Arrathorne. Our host Kirsty was very welcoming. She wore a mask throughout our stay and even used a cloth to pick up the TV remote to show us how it worked so we felt very safe. Our breakfast was delicious with local produce and home made jam with fruits from the garden.||An unexpected highlight for me was the wool, hand dyed from her own rare breed sheep. Can't wait to start knitting with it. We stayed in Field room which had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

My wife and I stayed in Elmfield lodge which is the self contained 1 bedroom cottage attached to the main farm house. We had our 4month old baby with us. ||This is a stunning place. The location is ideal for exploring the dales with Bedale, Richmond, Hawes, Leyburn and many more a short drive away. ||There are lovely walks right from the doorstep also. There is a lovely lake set in their own woodland. Beautiful. ||The host Kirsty is absolutely lovely and couldn’t have been more welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. We even got to see some of the Wensleydale lambs up close with Kirsty. ||The cottage itself is lovely and cosy. It’s extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need and was spotlessly clean. ||The bed was super comfortable and the views over the grazing fields were to die for. ||We will be back time and time again. 100%.

We stayed in the lodge which was lovely. There were cakes and fresh plums on arrival and Kirsty,the owner, was very welcoming and readily on hand if we needed anything. The lodge was beautifully equipped with everything we could possibly need and we felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. I really can't fault anything here it was perfect for us. If I had to find a fault it was that the bed was so comfortable we ended up getting up late most days.

The accommodation was so welcoming, with great views and places to walk. The hosts were super friendly, happy to offer any advise we wanted, giving us great ideas on where to visit.|Breakfasts were amazing and kept us going most of the day. It is a must for anyone wanting to go to the Dales.
